Ok. Here are some things I thought I knew before finding Bigsby's Folly: I don't like Reisling and strawberries and tomatoes together are too tart. Well, now I know that the Bigsby's Folly Bone Dry Reisling exists and is phenomenal (please bring it back!!!) AND their seasonal ricotta toast with strawberries and tomatoes is a perfect party of flavors (please bring it back, too!). I am so sad these two gems have been rotated off the menu. On to the current menu items, however. The Vermentino orange wine is an unexpected (in a good way) party of tart, crisp, and earthy flavors. It tastes like spring and summer mixed up in a glass. The wild boar meatballs never disappoint and the new spring risotto is like a special yet familiar friend with crispy morels and tender asparagus nestled in a creamy bed of comfort. We have been members of the wine club for a few years and we have NEVER had a bad experience. The staff are always lovely and friendly. Paige and Cash both took time this evening to chat about interesting things (plants, gardening, Cash's newest cocktail in the works) while also giving my husband and I space to enjoy our date night. Over the years we have shared hiking and camping spots, our favorite "It's hotter than....." jokes, and fun life anecdotes with the bar and service staff. Finally, the hubby wont approve this review unless I mention the beautiful building: old Denver brick with factory ceiling, gorgeous woodwork, and perfect lighting. We highly recommend you come in, enjoy the atmosphere and people as much as the food and wine, and bring a pup with you during patio weather. This is one of our favs!

We had a wonderful experience at Bigsby’s Folly! We started with a trio of wine flights each — such a fun way to explore their selections and discover new favorites. The atmosphere was lively but still perfect for a date night, with beautiful historic details and a stylish vibe that paired perfectly with the evening. For dinner I had the butternut squash risotto, and my husband had the maple-glazed cod — both were absolutely delicious and perfectly complemented our wine selections. Service was attentive and knowledgeable, making the whole evening feel relaxed and special. We’ll definitely be back to try more wines and share another meal. Highly recommend for a date night or special evening out! 🍷🍽️

My ex and I joined the Growler of the Month Club at Bigsby's back in 2020, during our first visit that summer. We loved the ambiance, feeling like we'd really discovered a gem off the beaten track, pun intended. By joining the club, it was a monthly excuse to plan a special night out to what became one of our favorite places for date night. It's been a couple of years now, but we had occassion to meet the owners, when we mistook their closing time for an hour later. The lights were still on, so we didn't realize our mistake, until they'd already invited us in to exchange our monthly growler with such warmth. Super nice people, reflecting the vibe we always felt on our other visits. The staff echoes that disposition, always friendly and knowledgeable. Though the winery isn't on-site, I've always been impressed with their tasting experience. I've now been a member for over 5 years, going in at least once a month, and they still suggest trying seasonal options and have broadened my palette... Though my ex and I have parted ways for a long while now and he moved away, he's kept our membership current, calling it my "alimony," and a nod to remembering the good times we had together. I recommend Bigsby's for all the good memories for all the folks, be it a lazy summer afternoon on the patio or a cozy evening in the lounge area with a glass of red when it's cold outside!

We stopped in for a glass of wine on a weeknight because we heard from friends about how nice this place is. Checking in was simple, though they were busy when we arrived with a large group in the private back room. Service was great. The menu is also great. They have a fair amount of wine in their menu, but I didn’t see names of wines (brands/names), so I asked and learned that they either make their own or work with others to make a wine for them. So, I chose their higher-end cab to try and it was pretty decent on the first few tastes. Slightly fruity, which I’m not too fond of. But noticed that overall it feel flat, yet it was decent, just not worth the price. We tried their choose three meat/cheese board and that was really nice! Came with some great accoutrement and was fresh and tasty. The venue is beautiful and nicely decorated. Definitely would recommend stopping in!
