Mini golf is one of those activities that works for basically everyone — kids, dates, groups of friends who can't agree on anything else. Denver has a decent range of options, from sprawling outdoor courses to the kind of high-tech indoor setups that cost a little more but deliver a different experience. I put together a list of five worth knowing about, and the range is pretty wide in terms of price, vibe, and what you're actually getting.

5 FUN Mini Golf Courses in Denver That Anyone Will LOVE

Adventure Golf in Westminster

If you want scale, Adventure Golf in Westminster is the move. This is a big outdoor course — the kind where you're actually walking around for a while and it feels like a full outing rather than something you knock out in 20 minutes. Westminster isn't exactly central Denver, but it's a reasonable drive up US-36 and worth it if you're looking for a classic outdoor mini golf experience. Courses like this are a little harder to find as more places go the indoor route, so there's something to be said for it.

PuttShack

On the opposite end of the spectrum is PuttShack. This one is expensive — I'll say that upfront — but it's a genuinely different kind of experience. The courses are interactive, meaning the technology is built into the game itself rather than just being decoration around it. It's more of an entertainment venue than a traditional mini golf course, which is fine as long as you go in knowing that. It works well for groups or corporate outings where the cost gets spread around. If you're looking for a casual cheap outing, this probably isn't it, but as a deliberate evening activity it's pretty fun.

The Rest of the List

Beyond those two anchor experiences, there are a few other courses I cover in the video that round out the options. The point of pulling together five spots was to show that Denver actually has variety here — you're not just choosing between one outdoor course and one indoor course. Whether you want something more low-key, something better suited for younger kids, or something with a specific design style, there are options. I go deeper on each one in the video itself, which is worth watching if you're trying to figure out which one fits your situation.

Indoor vs. Outdoor

One thing worth thinking about before you go: indoor courses in Denver are useful for obvious reasons. Summers are great, but the window for comfortable outdoor mini golf isn't unlimited, and afternoon thunderstorms can cut a round short. Indoor courses solve that, though they tend to trade the spaciousness of something like Adventure Golf for a more controlled, designed environment. Neither is objectively better — it really depends on what you're in the mood for and who you're bringing.

The Honest Take

Mini golf doesn't need to be a big production, and most of these spots understand that. The courses I looked at are well-designed or at least have something that makes them worth playing beyond just being a place to kill time. PuttShack is the splurge option if you want something flashy and social. Adventure Golf in Westminster is the right call if you want the traditional outdoor round with room to breathe. The others fall somewhere in between, and depending on where you're coming from in the metro, one of them is probably close enough to be the easy choice. If you're trying to figure out the best fit, the full video breaks down each course with a lot more context than I can get into here.
