New Denver Restaurant & Bar Openings: April 4, 2026

Denver had a busy week of openings, with four new spots across the city and suburbs — a long-delayed Y2K bar, a Western dance hall from a teenage entrepreneur, rooftop oysters at a beloved food hall, and an all-you-can-eat hot pot spot that's already turning heads.

Good Luck Club — 1350 South Broadway

After permitting delays pushed back a planned December opening, Good Luck Club is finally open in the Baker neighborhood. The concept is early 2000s all the way — "zero adulting," according to the press release — with a cocktail menu to match. The Burner Phone is a cinnamon mezcal Paloma, the Golden Eye is a Vesper made with pear and yuzu, and there are cans of Lucky Lager and a drink called Shandy Cheeks rounding things out.

Behind it is Pouring With Heart, a hospitality company with concepts across California, Texas, and Colorado. Locally, they run American Bonded in RiNo, Emerald Eye in Larimer Square, and Seven Grand downtown. If you know those spots, you know what to expect: well-run bars with a distinct personality. Good Luck Club fits that mold — just with a lot more nostalgia baked in.

Broken Bow — 2201 Lawrence Street

The former Mile High Spirits distillery tasting room in Lower Downtown — which closed in January — has a new tenant. Broken Bow is a Western-themed bar and dance hall started by 19-year-old Patterson, who built a following on Instagram before deciding to take the concept into the real world. The vision is a proper dancefloor, a chance to revive a nostalgic pastime, and a community built IRL.

The food draws comparisons to RiNo Country Club — cheeseburgers, wings, and pub fare — with a no-frills bar program of beers and mixed drinks. There's also a retail shop selling hats, button-downs, and bandannas featuring Patterson's original artwork. This weekend is a preview before regular hours kick in, so expect some roughness — but it's a fun concept to keep an eye on.

Shuck Brothers at Avanti — 3200 Pecos Street

More than a decade after opening in the LoHi neighborhood, Avanti Food & Beverage is still attracting great new talent. This spring, Shuck Brothers has set up on the second-floor covered patio — an oyster bar started by three former Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar employees who went out on their own in 2019.

Jesse Migchelbrink, Riley Campbell, and Garrick Abt have been running Shuck Brothers as a food truck and caterer since then, and the Avanti stand is their first permanent home. Oysters from both coasts are available by the half or full dozen — some served hot with green herbs, butter, and garlic. Maine lobster rolls and blue crab cakes round out the menu. The covered patio is a great setting for it.

Bong Bong Hot Pot — 10630 East Iliff Avenue, Aurora

Out in Aurora, Bong Bong Hot Pot has opened with an all-you-can-eat format for both lunch and dinner, with 8 different broths on offer. Early customer reviews have been strong.

Dave's Take

Bong Bong Hot Pot is the one I'm most excited about. It's already racking up excellent reviews, and 8 broth options is a real lineup — not just token variety. Denver doesn't have a ton of AYCE hot pot spots worth coming back to regularly, so having a solid new go-to in Aurora is a genuine win. Worth the drive.
