D Bar Bakery & Cafe - Central Park

We were so pleased with our wedding cake from D Bar! It was absolutely beautiful—exactly what we wanted—and it tasted just as amazing as it looked. They matched our inspiration photos perfectly and really brought our vision to life. We also loved their at-home tasting experience! It was such a fun and unique way to try different combinations of cake, frosting, and filling to find our perfect match. As a nut-free couple, we really appreciated how confident D Bar made us feel about the safety of our cake. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the planning process felt a bit drawn out. There was quite a bit of back-and-forth to finalize the design and pricing, and I had to follow up multiple times to get clear answers. I just wish that part of the process had been smoother and more efficient. That said, the end result was truly stunning and delicious—we’re so happy we chose D Bar for our wedding cake!

Very nice small bakery on 29th. They do have some breakfast items in addition to pastries and other bakery items. The scone was very nice. The bottled orange juice was average. The have floats and milkshakes which would be good during the warmer parts of the day. Service was welcoming, fast and efficient. They were keeping up with a steady stream of customers. The space has a few tables inside along with limited counter seating and four more small tables outside. They do have password protected Wi-Fi for guests. There is limited on street parking, but many more spaces in the lot behind the store.

I love that this place is nestled directly between an Einstein’s bagels and a Starbucks and completely obliterates them both. Whatever roaster they’re using for their coffee is on point. They take the time and make the effort to properly pour and extract espresso. High-quality machines and very good flavored coffee. My preference is a simple hot latte with whole milk. No flavors because the coffee is so well balanced. Highly recommend the ham and cheese croissants. Doesn’t get much better for breakfast and a coffee and a snack from this place. Always sad when they’re closed—It is definitely depressing having to go to their neighbors.

We ordered the classic croissant, classic cinnamon role and the specialty apple pie cinnamon roll. The croissant was cooked perfectly with a flaky crust just as we anticipated. The apple pie cinnamon roll was fresh and the apples were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of cinnamon and sugar. The classic cinnamon roll was the one item that let me down it was rather dry on the outside. The frosting was excellent just not moist enough to keep the roll fresh. If we had only gotten those items the rating would have been higher.
