There is so much to do at this venue. This is probably the city of Thornton's best park. They host year round events plus when there isn't anything going on you can bring your kiddos to run around until they're tired. They have several trails to walk, just about every sports field or playing court you can think of. The only thing you cant do outside is swim. That's what the rec center is for. Picnics, volleyball, running track, fishing, boating skate park, kite flying, cookouts, party celebrations, photography, dog walking, cycling, or just relaxing under a tree with a good book, or podcast. Only thing you can't do here is camping and over night parking.

My 3 year old grandson loves this park. It's huge with interesting play equipment for ages 2-12, plus there is a splash pad/ water area. I appreciate that there are plenty of shaded areas to sit & many people brought picnics. There was also an ice cream truck! It's dog friendly & people very responsibly care for them. The carousel was fun & next time we'll rent the swans on the lake. This is a great park, I just hope people continue to respect it.

Great playground and splash pad! Lots of shady areas for picnics and watching your kiddos. Ample parking and a huge bonus for us is that it's accessible friendly. My kiddo in a wheelchair had fun at both the playground and splash pad.

I've been walking my dog at this park everyday for a year and a half, we love the little lakes, watching the ducks, geese and of course the turtles. There are several trails, a playground, a carousel, a big flat grass area to play sports on. Today we spotted a bald eagle.
