We ordered from Spicy Basil through Uber Eats, so I can't speak to the dining in experience, but my girlfriend and I really enjoyed the massive portions and the great flavors of our food. We got the tropical fried rice with chicken and shrimp, the spicy basil chicken, steamed broccoli, and gyoza. After a long day of driving in the snow, this was the perfect dinner for us. Would definitely order from here again.

I doordashed my order, very soggy and overcooked sesame chicken, it started to mush apart, fried rice over cooked and flavorless, highly disappointed tbh, resorted to 🌮🔔 The chicken left horrible taste in mouth after 4 bites.

I ordered the sesame chicken plate from Spicy Basil, and I am beyond disappointed. The chicken was somehow both overcooked and soggy at the same time—so soggy it was falling apart. The texture was disgusting, and it was drowning in an excessive amount of sauce. On top of that, the portion of vegetables was pathetic. My order came with only four pieces of broccoli, while the photo they use to advertise the dish shows a generous amount. I’ve attached pictures of what I received versus what they advertise, and the difference is laughable. (I separated the chicken into another bowl to show the lack of veggies.) This was a complete waste of money, and I won’t be ordering from here again.

*sigh* I wanted to like this place because it has decent prices (especially compared to the adjacent crab shack) and is decently close to where I live. What a cool little spot! The food tasted *fine*, but it wasn’t really exceptional. “Mango” chicken had pieces of mango, but the sauce by itself had nothing to do with Mango. The spicy beef was tender and delicious, but again not exceptional. Spring roll was kind of bland, but it had an okay crunch. We asked for steamed rice and got fried rice; we were told the fried shrimp was made in house and was massive, and what we got was just… hm. Not worth the price, I think. Staff was friendly and kind, knowledgeable and decisive. We liked her! Music was a bit loud over the speakers, and we were there for lunch hour but only a couple other tables were filled in the sizable space. Sad to say that we’ll probably pop over to Aung’s instead (though perhaps they are different markets altogether, so maybe it doesn’t matter). The food just wasn’t notable for good aspects for the most part.
