We were very happy with our first experience here. The restaurant started off fairly mellow, however as the evening progressed it was quick to fill up. We were sat down in the basement which felt like a good spot when it was empty. As it started to fill up, it felt like a lot of people. All of the staff was very friendly and we were happy with our waiter. We started with the la scala salad, very good 8.5/10. Really good flavor and everything tasted fresh. Next we had the winter citrus salad, a good option as well 7/10. The ember oak carrots were just alright, the whipped feta the came with them was a real winner 6/10. We also had one of their pizza specials which had beef cheek and great ricotta on it 8.5/10. For our entrees we had the pretzel crusted pork Milanese, which fell a little short 5.5/10. I found the piece of pork to be a little tough and the pork tasted better once you removed the coating off of it. The mixed veggies that were served with it was very good. For the other entree we had the chicken saltimbocca which was exceptional 9/10. We were very happy with this option and will be back for it again. We decided to end with the home made cannolis which were a mistake, 4/10, very oily and not a lot of flavor, just tasted like they had soaked up bad oil and sat around for awhile. We were very happy with our time here and we look forward to coming back again soon.

Special attention to detail with ambiance and decor. Such an intimate experience in a full restaurant. Attentive and knowledgeable team was impressive as well as deeply appreciated. Libations were spectacular and unique. Fritto Misto and Foccia were perfect and shareable size was perfect for our party of four. Elk Bolognese, Lobster Diavolo, Butternut Squash Agnolotti and Gnocchetti with Oven Roasted Marrow were spectacular! Comfort food on a chilly evening were perfectly plated and tableside attention sharing with family was a memorable experience! A wow evening in LoDo worthy of a return visit soon.

The atmosphere was okay and the service were great! The food was not up to par for the price . The pizza we ordered was way too salty and according to the waitress, the sausage is “usually salty” . And the Ravioli sauce was salty as well. Again, apparently the ravioli “ is usually salty “ too. I don’t think that kind of an excuse was acceptable. We thought we will end it with the dessert , the tiramisu we ordered the cocoa was way too much and the melted chocolate was thick and the server spilt them all over the plate and the table . For all the bad experience we had, the didn’t charge our drinks .

My partner and I dined here last weekend for our 1 year anniversary and requested downstairs in Soto Voce. They did not disappoint!! We sat at a small candlit table in a cut out nook. It was so incredibly romantic 😍 Our server was absolutely amazing as well (I didnt catch the tall blonde man's name but he killed it!) He was very knowledgeable and walked us through our options as we are both gluten free/celiac and everything was delicious! Multiple staff members wished us a happy anniversary and were all super friendly. Definitely would recommend and come back again!
