I went out of my way to try to come here to see the 90s exhibit & the fossils that I had seen online, but they had neither. I saw the rest of the museum and it's just ok. It's pretty and clean, I just think it needs more exhibits. I do have to admit that my favorite thing here is the fact that kids can play here. They have a slide and everything. That was pretty great and refreshing. Most museums don't have that. The staff here was pretty great. Very friendly and informative 👌 thank you 😊

The 90s exhibit was great, but could have been so much more. The 90s things in the gift shop were not good at all. But these are all typical complaints for all museums. So over all a good experience.

We came to visit the UA 629 presentation in the three glass exhibits next to the 2nd floor elevator. The exhibit captures the aircraft bombing near Denver, and respectfully honors the victims of that tragic, fatal flight, caused by a criminal's bomb intended to kill his mother. We also saw a piece of that plane in the "100 Object" exhibit on the 3rd floor.

This turned out to be a really great museum and I strongly recommend a visit. The Sandy Creek exhibit was very powerful and a gut punch, especially once you read the letters of Federal officers who refused to participate and documented in detail the atrocities. The exhibits on Ute, Arapaho & Cheyenne peoples were written from the perspective of and curated by the native people and shared vibrant cultures and history. The exhibits on silver mining (recommend closing the sliding gates and experiencing the mine "elevator" as you enter this exhibit), Japanese internment (take a moment to sit in the cabin), a Black-American holiday resort and Colorado, especially Denver's, evolution and development were also fascinating.
