Mazevo Mediterranean Eatery

Mazevo is an amazing spot for Mediterranean food. I went there for dinner and was really impressed. The atmosphere inside was warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. Whether you’re going for a casual dinner or a night out, Mazevo is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend if you’re craving quality Mediterranean cuisine!

Upon entering the main dining area you’re hit with a distinct unpleasant odor masked by an air freshener. The building itself is old, the walls are dirty, the floors are not clean either. When you touch the table, it feels sticky. However, the biggest shock was visiting the woman’s bathroom: thick layers of dust accumulated around the vents. Strong chemical smell. Poor water pressure to wash hands. Drinking water brought to the table had a musty smell/taste. The food itself was not bad, but is more accurately described as mediocre. My main concern with this restaurant is sanitation.

All of our food was delicious. The pita bread was perfection and the labneh was so good! My son got the lamb kebab and it was one of his favorite meals from our trip. They are also fantastic at accommodating food allergies.

My partner and I were impressed with Mazevo! The service was very friendly and the atmosphere and decor were very nice and fitting to the theme. We ordered the chicken kebab, gyro plate, and dolma, and while the longer wait was unexpected, given we were among maybe four tables, it was well worth it! Everything was delicious, and the tzatziki sauce was subtle and fresh. The chicken kebab came with a garlic aioli that was amazing as well. On top of everything, the meals were played beautifully!
