Cake Sugar World

Cake Sugar World is absolutely wonderful! We stopped by to get a birthday cake and some pastries, and the quality is amazing — everything looked and tasted incredible. On top of that, we were surprised with extra cookies and treats as a gift, which was so sweet and thoughtful. Kanlys was the one who helped us, and she was very kind and welcoming. She took the time to explain each treat to us and made the whole experience feel personal and enjoyable. The prices are great for such high-quality desserts. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others!

I had no idea these guys existed until I was searching for a bakery who made a Spring Fling cake for my birthday (remember The Market on Larimer? THE BEST). Lo and behold, there was a bakery who made it just down the street from me! It was like fate. Then when I came to place the order, I saw all the delicious pastries, cupcakes and cookies they were selling. Fabulous! I ordered some of those too. My husband and I thought the pastries were divine. My co workers loved the cupcakes, and even though they don’t make the Spring Fling until, you know, spring, they were willing to do the job in early March. Customer service was efficient and friendly, and they made me feel not only welcome but like family. Even when anxious me was worried about not having enough for everyone because my party grew from 14 to 20, they accommodated my crazy self and turned the 8”, 3 tier round cake I ordered into a 10”, 2 tier cake for the same price. They also threw in a small fruit tart for free, which was delicious. The cake was gorgeous, and the taste was just like it used to be at The Market - THE BEST! My guests all loved it, and there was more than enough to go around, just like the owner warned me. lol Great neighborhood bakery, and I will be getting all of my baked goods from here for now on! **People make mistakes and that’s fine, but the correct solution to those mistakes is what makes a good customer service. I appreciate Cake Sugar World, since my review, I’ve been refunded. For that, I’m increasing my review from 1 to 3 stars. Original review: I ordered a cake made out of cupcakes after confirming by phone that, while they hadn’t done one before, they could make it. I emailed a reference photo and specifically requested that the bike design be red instead of blue. When I arrived, the cake did not look like what I requested. When I asked for a solution, I was told, “too bad, we don’t do refunds. We’ll just donate it to a church.” I was also told the frosting had been sprayed “to make it look realistic.” In my opinion, the result looked messy, dirty, and unprofessional—certainly not worth the $220 price. Stay away. This is the worst customer service ever!

We had them make our wedding cake after seeing fabulous reviews on their red velvet cake, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. The best red velvet cake I have ever had! We loved their cake so much we got one for our 1 year anniversary, and I will be getting my birthday cakes from here going forward. Very friendly owners and excellent service every time.
