We were visiting the area and went on Christmas Day. Our bar for Japanese food is pretty high since we lived in Japan and still visit often. We went hungry with an open mind. Our family of 4 got the ayce premium. Right off the bat I noticed the rice was dry and not that Japanese sticky rice we are used to. I was able to look past that and still really enjoyed the variety of food and tasty dipping sauces. Our server was great until about halfway through our meal. He disappeared and we had to flag down random employees for things. When we finally did see him (we were signing the check so that tells you how long it had been) he apologized and said he was sat a large party. I understood that but that doesn’t mean you forget about your other tables. This review probably would have been a 4 if it weren’t for the service. I do appreciate them being open Christmas Day but for our first time ever visiting a Gyu-Kaku, the service could have been much better.

Celine was a great host for our lunch on Friday. She did a fantastic job and this was our first time visiting the Cherry Creek location as we often frequent your other location. I love this place and the meat quality is great!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had such a wonderful experience at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ! From the moment we walked in, our server made the night feel special—attentive, warm, and so knowledgeable about the menu. The happy hour was an incredible value, and I couldn’t believe the variety of choices at such a great price. The meats were outstanding—tender, flavorful, and fun to grill right at the table. Every dish we tried was delicious, and the selection was perfect for sharing. The whole experience felt interactive and memorable, making it so much more than just dinner. If I had one suggestion, it would be to offer a separate pair of tongs for the cooked meats (to avoid cross-contamination) and perhaps provide some silverware for those who prefer it. But truly, those are small notes compared to how beautiful the evening was. This restaurant exceeded my expectations and gave me everything I could ask for—a great atmosphere, amazing service, and food that left me wanting to come back as soon as possible. Highly recommend!

LOVED the all you can eat. Celebrated my cousin's birthday. The food was SO good and our server Celine was amazing! Thank you for making dinner that much better with the great service! Google: "Would you like to recommend this to vegetarians?" ABSOLUTELY. If you think about it, a cow eats grass (sometimes). So you're technically grass fed in a way, you know? You'll love it.
