Nice clean local Italian joint with a good atmosphere, fast and efficient service, delicious and generous portions. Reasonable prices as well, with a full menu of classic Italian pasta entrees and pizza. Didn't try the pizza, but the baked ziti with spicy Italian sausage was amazing.

We went here today to celebrate my birthday. We originally tried to go to the other location in Aurora but it was closed. The food was extremely disappointing. Chicken Francese is normally lightly battered, and the menu here stated it would be. This chicken didn’t come out battered and the texture was horrible. I ordered the chicken Francese at the other location and it was delicious. I left a review with a photo (click my profile or visit the other restaurant if you’re curious at the difference) but you can clearly see by the photos it was made very differently. My grandma was disappointed they didn’t recognize my birthday as a business practice but I understand that is not a normalized thing. I personally will never come back to this location, and I don’t recommend coming for any type of celebration. Our server did not ask us how the food was nor was he very attentive given how slow it was. The other location I have only had good experiences at.

The restaurant is nice. Staff was a little slow. Pizza was not hot we had margarita pizza. No mozzarella just tomato and Parmesan that was tossed on top. Crust was great would have been better hot. Garlic knots are great! Chicken and eggplant were average. Chicken Parmesan was good as was the shrimp scampi was tasty.

Pomodoro is one of those places where you can get great pizza and sometime great entrees. I put it that way because we did try the pizza a few months ago and it was quite good, consistent and when you dine it, VERY hot which how it should be served. So, the other day we ordered a meal for my wife and I and it was a large meat lovers and a chicken marsala. My wife had tried the marsala in the restaurant a few months ago and said that it was considerably good. However this time, it was a radical disappointment, sad to say. The meat lovers was good ingredients, good dispersal of ingredients, good crust (as usual), right proportions of sauce and cheese, however, since I'd ordered online and went to the restaurant right away it wasn't "ready" yet which I expected. The pizza was not close to warm enough which told me that they didn't make the food in an order where both would come up at the same time and be piping hot. From receipt of the food to home was approximately 8 minutes, that's how long before I took the first bite, it was barely warm. The marsala was far worse, the chicken was rubbery, the sauce was TERRIBLE with what seemed like canned mushrooms and barely flavoured watery sauce. My wife ate the chicken since we paid 25ish dollars for it but even my children disliked the sauce and pasta. I hope that the kitchen is run better than this. The pizza is VERY good when properly cooked and my wife kept asking me, did they get a new chef? Honestly to have that drastic a difference in the quality of the marsala is pretty disappointing. I hope the owner takes note of this, it looks like they do.
