CAMELIA Modern Mexican Cuisine

My boyfriend and I came here tonight for the first time and let me just say WOW! The hospitality is above and beyond! The drinks are fun and taste delicious! We also got the prime rib with 24k gold on it with the truffle Mac and cheese! Both were filled with so much flavor and style! We will definitely be coming back. Also the manager made us feel as if we errr family! We took pictures next to the wings and him and the bartender took pictures with us! I would HIGHLY recommend this place!

On Valentine's Day, we had a reservation at 7:15 p.m. We were seated immediately, but to the bar area. We were served 30 minutes later, and then another 2 hours later, our dinner arrived.

Service was great! Food is overpriced for the quality of meat you get. Wished the chef would come out and talked to the customers instead of having our poor waiter having to apologize for something that he didn’t do. Ceviche was great! The cocktails were amazing! Ribeye was fatty, chewy, and had no flavor. Pork shank was the last to come out and it was luke warm, tough, and dry. I couldn’t even stab my fork into it.

We went for my birthday prior to heading to a concert. It was a Tuesday and because we had somewhere to be it was an early 5:30 reservation and we were the ONLY customers. When that happens you expect the service to be exceptional. It was not. In fact we skipped dessert because we didn’t know how long we would have to wait. After we were done waiting for someone to check on us after we were finished with our main course, we opted for the check instead. The food was mediocre . The ceviche we started with promised the rest of our meal would be just as delicious, but it was definitely the highlight. My partner got the pink mole dish, I thought it was one note and the chicken was dry. My octopus and vegetables were underwhelming, everything was very bland. As it is Mexican cuisine I expect to be smacked with flavor. You can tell this is a place that is trying to be insta-worthy, because the food and decor are very pretty, but that is it, just pretty.
