Chatfield Farms is a sprawling working farm and gardens perfect for seasonal festivals, family activities like corn mazes and tractor rides, and stunning outdoor wedding venues with exceptional staff support. Known for: working farm with lavender fields and corn mazes.
The Lavender Festival features beautiful lavender fields with vendors and is less crowded than the fall Pumpkin Festival. Free tractor rides explore the massive farm and let you spot wildlife like deer, beaver markings, and bear tracks. The corn maze is huge and fun to navigate, with bonus activities like finding hidden birds throughout. Wedding venue rentals include access to the 'Bucket of Blooms' service that grows and designs custom flowers in your event colors. Venue managers like Abby Beck are praised for being accommodating, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented throughout the planning and event process. The gardens in late August are in full bloom with lots of color, hummingbirds, and make for gorgeous natural photo backdrops. A small butterfly pavilion and relaxing garden walks offer peaceful nature experiences away from crowds.
The Pumpkin Festival in fall gets very crowded and may not be worth a return visit if you prefer a quieter experience. Chatfield Farms has less variety of plants, flowers, and foliage compared to the Downtown Denver Botanic Gardens location.

I attended the Lavender Festival earlier this year and loved it! Lovely lavender fields and awesome vendors. The entirety of Chatfield Farms is just fun to explore as a working farm with lots of historic touches. I also attended the Pumpkin Festival in the fall and found it was too crowded for my tastes, but I still enjoyed it. I don't think I would go to the Pumpkin Festival again, but I would definitely attend the Lavender Festival again.

We spent a Saturday afternoon in early November exploring this beautiful farmland! We made our way through the huge corn maze (and found all the birds!) then enjoyed 2 FREE tractor rides and ordered some snacks from the food truck vendors. The cowboys who toured us around on the tractors showed us bear tracks, beaver markings & we saw a deer! 🐾🦌🦫 There is so much exploring to do on this massive farm!

We used Chatfield Farms as a wedding venue and it was so perfect! The gardens, in full bloom at the end of August, were the most gorgeous, natural backdrop for photos and just an incredible venue. We kept our decor simple, so as to not distract from all of the natural beauty. The stables (white open barn) was the perfect amount of rustic that we wanted. There isn't one thing we would change for our venue selection! The price we paid for the venue and amount of time for the venue rental aligned with pricing of other venues we looked at and this expense for the wedding went to a great cause as well, contributing to the ongoing conservation programs and projects at the native plant refuge and historic farm. Our venue manager was Abby Beck and I can't say enough good things about her! She was so accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable and just overall easy to work with! One of the services offered through the gardens was the Bucket of Blooms. They will grow flowers for your wedding to be used however you want, matching your wedding (or party/event) colors and if you choose, they can build your bouquets from these flowers that are grown at the gardens. Our bouquets turned out absolutely stunning. They were HUGE! So well designed and used flowers I had never even seen before! We loved them and this is something everyone should use if you are using the gardens as a venue!! Our entire experience at the gardens was incredible and the perfect place for a wedding!

What a beautiful venue, wow!! I had the pleasure of being a Wedding Coordinator at the Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms. Got to work with Abby & Sana - they were so on top of it, great communication and were so incredibly helpful before, during and after the wedding day. This venue makes the planning process so smooth and they execute the day of plans flawlessly. 10/10 I would highly recommend hosting your wedding day here for ceremony and reception!!! Also, it's just a fantastic gardens to spend the day with family or friends - will definitely be back to explore more 😊 Thank you, Jessica @ Dream Big Events
