I came in for lunch and was greeted with a boisterous personality from the behind the counter. I was asked if I had been in before and because I hadnt, they took the opportunity to review the menu and options with me. I ordered the catfish, okra, and mac n cheese to stay. Theres plenty of seating in the dining area and theres an uncovered patio with a few tables outside. The restaurant is on the corner of a busy intersection that also houses a Ben & Jerrys ice cream parlor a few steps away. The food was brought out piping hot and so tasty! The mac n cheese wasnt as creamy as Id prefer but Im grateful to have a taste of home. The okra was a little more done than I prefer but it was good. The okra came out as crunhy bites. If youre not a fan of the okra juice, these are perfect. The catfish was PERFECT. Light and crispy flavorful crust and puping hot flaky goodness inside. So yummy! I filled my tank and went on my way. Parking here is limited. I parked on the street in the metered parallel parking spots nearby. It was 2$ for an hour on the meter. The bathrooms are nice but there wasnt any soap when I visited. There is not a power asist door, nor are there handicapped spaces closeby. The entrance is a double set of doors with an entry space that turns.

Such a great vibe and love the atmosphere. The manager working was such a sweetheart and very knowledgeable of the menu. She made a great recommendation to try the fried chicken. It was Fried Chicken Friday yesterday and I love, love, love it! It was so delicious and the green chili Mac and fries complimented the plate. Definitely will be returning to try the other menu items.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’m so glad I finally discovered Saucy’s Southern BBQ & Cuisine here in the University Hills area of Denver! I ordered online for pickup, and everything was smooth and convenient — my food was ready right on time, and the staff was friendly when I arrived. I tried the ribs with Carolina Gold sauce, catfish, hot link with barbecue sauce, and fried okra — everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Nothing disappointed me, and the portions were generous. You can really tell they take pride in their food and service. I stopped by during a slower time, which made it even better, and I left completely full and happy. Definitely a five-star experience — I’ll absolutely be back soon. Highly recommend this spot if you’re craving authentic Southern BBQ in Denver or University Hills!
