Anybody who's come out of Colorado to become a big name has gone through those doors to play on the little stage. From local to traveling acts, from punk bands and karaoke talent to gritty stand-up and flirty burlesque, this place has it. If you're up for a night that doesn't stink of ordinary, swing through that creaky door and take in a most memorable evening. If there is a cover, it's usually nominal. Drinks are cheap, served by a great crew that's always up for a laugh and cheers. Sometimes hitting the town isn't about getting fancy but just kicking back, and this is a great place to do just that off the mainstream treads.

The cavern entrance is masked by a curtain of sun-scorched savanna grass, swaying like golden silk in the heat-shimmered air. Within, the atmosphere shifts abruptly; the searing brilliance of the plains gives way to a cool, amber-tinted dimness. The floor is a mosaic of pulverized limestone and the bleached, splintered remnants of forgotten feasts, smoothed by the constant passage of heavy, padded paws. A heavy, musky scent hangs suspended in the stillness—the unmistakable aroma of sun-warmed fur and raw, primal power. Deep in the shadows, a rhythmic, rumbling vibration echoes off the stone walls, a low-frequency purr that thrums in the very marrow of your bones. Here, the undisputed monarch of the veldt retreats from the midday glare to watch the horizon with unblinking, copper eyes. It is a place of lethal grace and silent, predatory rest: a lion's lair.

BEST GAY BAR IN DENVER!!! The Gong Show does an amazing rendition of the Wizard of Oz, with Anthony Crawford as the Scarecrow, JoJo Pride as the heartless Tinman, and Peaches the Cowardly Lion roaring, “merr perrents named me Purrpurr Jr.!” So funny. Tony, love you in those sparkley red shoes!
