If you enjoy being made to feel like an inconvenience the moment you walk through the door, this is your hotel. My overnight check-in was handled by a front desk associate (Anne) who apparently views basic courtesy as optional which is a bold approach for a job that exists entirely to serve guests. I’m not sure what Marriott’s customer service training covers these days, but whatever it is, it didn’t make it to the overnight shift at this property. I’ve already passed this along to Marriott corporate, because at a certain point this stops being a “bad night” and starts being a leadership and hiring problem. If management is fine with this representing their brand, that says more about them than it does about me.( I’d Hate my life as well if I was in my late 40s making minimum wage overnight at a run down Marriott hotel, lol get a life)

This hotel exceeded my expectations in cleanliness, location, accessibility, and proximity to so many great restaurant options within walking distance. The beds were very comfortable and breakfast was better than most other continental breakfasts I’ve had before. Highly recommend this stay and will be booking Fairfield by Marriott again in the future!

Brief experience at this hotel because we definitely left due to how terribly everything went from the very first interaction. The front desk staff member, Anne, was extremely rude, unkind, and an absolute nightmare to deal with when trying to check in after 11 p.m. She was combative every step of the way and clearly does not uphold their posted Marriott mission statement of “making every guest feel welcome.” We had called about a room with a jetted tub for my birthday staycation, but were instead presented with Room 201 that had a strong stench of urine and was completely uninhabitable. The initial issue stemmed from what appears to be a booking error. When reserving a “1 King Standard Room,” the listing includes multiple features under “Bath and Bathroom Features,” such as “separate bathtub and shower,” “bathtub, oversized,” “tub with spray jets,” and “whirlpool fits 7.” After reviewing photos and seeing a room with a bathtub in the room itself (labeled “whirlpool fits 1”), we called on 3/25 at 6:01 PM to clarify the difference between the standard room and the “room with whirlpool.” The staff member on the phone assured us that they were simply two different tub types, but that either option would include a jetted tub. When we tried to explain this to Anne, she refused to look at the website, dismissed any possibility of a listing error, and told us we could either stay in the standard room or pay over $100 for an upgrade. She made us feel as though we were at fault for expecting the room we paid for, or even for wanting our concerns to be acknowledged. A small amount of understanding would have gone a long way, but instead, she chose to be aggressive throughout the entire interaction. The only positive part of this experience was leaving and being welcomed with open arms at Apiary Hotel Belleview Station, where we were actually treated like guests.
