After dining at Annette, it is very apparent how they earned the James Beard award. The atmosphere was very unique and the entire staff was welcoming and extremely accommodating. All food and sauces are made from scratch. Started with the deviled eggs, which were amazing. Then had the Greek tomato salad, Cavatelli pasta, followed by Steak Frites and the half chicken. I ordered the steak rare which was cooked to absolute perfection. The half chicken was so moist and flavorful that the juices burst with every bite. From my seat, I was able to watch the chef cook my steak and chicken over a firewood grill. I finished my meal with a Profiterole filled with lemon ice cream and drizzled with salted caramel. And the perfect ending to the night was an espresso martini made by our server/bartender Abby, that might have been the best I've ever had. I'm already looking forward to going back so I can try all the other amazing options on the menu.

We love dining at Annette and frequently grab drinks before hand at their sister bar, Traveling Mercies! The menu is always thoughtful and exciting - this time we shared the skate wing, which was a first for both of us!

What a delicious meal! Every dish was unique and highly flavorful. The red peas, cabbage roll, sunchoke gratin, and hangar steak were all SO GOOD! It was a great spot for a weeknight double date - quiet enough to hear and busy enough to feel energetic. Service was really wonderful and attentive. It's a special spot that you simply can't miss!

I would have given this place 3.5 stars, but since that’s not possible, I rounded up to 4. The food is incredibly fresh, and I loved the atmosphere and the host. The waitstaff was kind, though they seemed a bit worn down, and their energy wasn’t fully there, but they were still pleasant. As for the food, I had high expectations. The beef tongue was delicious top notch but felt like too small a portion to share. Also, pairing it with bread doesn’t do it justice—it’s a standout dish that deserves a better side to enhance its flavors. The pasta was creative, especially with the cheese, but something made it overly salty. The mussels were delicious, and I liked the simplicity of the sauce. However, I was disappointed with the caviar snack—at $11, I expected more than just one piece. My sangria could use less ice. And while the bread was amazing, I felt there was too much of it; it shouldn’t overshadow the quality of the other dishes. Overall, great food but with a few areas for improvement. Honestly go to enjoy the experience and spoil yourself a little. I wouldn’t come here again unless invited. A good one time experience,
