Things to Know
Rhein Haus nails the Munich beer hall experience with genuine German food, lively atmosphere, and an unexpected bocce ball court right in the dining room. Known for: authentic bavarian beer hall with bocce courts.
Popular choices at Rhein Haus Denver include Smorgasbord, Jaeger schnitzel with mushroom sauce, soft salted pretzel with cheese sauce, apple strudel, salmon with spätzle.
The Smorgasbord is the star dish—perfectly sized for sharing and packed with authentic Bavarian flavors. Cozy, beautifully decorated space with German signage, wood floors, and a full-sized playable bocce ball court in the middle. Large portions and fast kitchen—pretzels, schnitzel, and sausages arrive quickly even when busy. Excellent desserts like apple strudel and strong drink selection including German wines and local beers. Friendly, attentive service that keeps up even during pre-game crowds.
Order accuracy issues with desserts—one reviewer received vanilla caramel instead of chocolate sundae. Service can be slow at times despite friendly staff. Giant pretzel is decent but not particularly standout according to some reviewers.
Rhein Haus Denver is moderately priced, with a 4.3-star rating from 3,374 Google reviews.

I just *had* to give this German restaurant in my new home of Denver a try. I am of German stock and so I grew up eating German cuisine and even worked at a Bavarian-themed restaurant whilst growing up. The Rhein Haus is located in downtown Denver. It is a very cozy atmosphere and it very much feels like you are in Bavaria. There is German signage, beautiful wood floors and decor, and even a full sized & playable bocce ball court in the middle of the restaurant! I went here with my brother and we both had an amazing meal. We started with a soft salted pretzel 🥨 served with yummy cheese sauce - they also had mustard if you prefer. Then we each had a Jaeger schnitzel with mushroom sauce and mashed potatoes & sauerkraut - theirs has caraway seeds. The entree was wonderful and I definitely want to come back and sample more of the menu, including some of their bratwurst 🌭 and other sausage items. There is a lot more of the menu to explore, and it does my heart good to know there is some genuine and delicious German food here in Denver ;)

Came here for a change of the same old restaurants. We sat down right away about 330 pm. Total of 5 in my party. I ordered a pomegranate cider and it was really good. German margarita was ok. I started with the giant pretzel and its okay. Nothing special but came out from kitchen fast. For entree wife ordered the breaded pork chop and tasted very good, I ordered the plate with kabasi, turkey keg and chicken breast and it was delicious. We asked for desert, and we ordered a chocolate Sunday and they came out with vanilla with Carmel. Not sure what happened to the chocolate. Disappointing desert. See picture. I wonder if they thought we are wanting the kid desert? Overall food was good, service was slow but very nice, food delivery was fast,. Overall I would come here again but would not go out of the way to eat here.

Prost! A Taste of Munich in Denver 🥨 Having traveled to Munich multiple times, we are always on the hunt for that authentic Bavarian spark, and Rhein Haus Denver absolutely nails it. The atmosphere is spot on—lively, welcoming, and beautifully designed. Here’s why it’s our go-to: • The Smorgasbord: This is the star of the show. It’s the perfect size for two to split and served as a delicious reminder of the Oktoberfest chicken we’ve enjoyed in Munich. The flavors are nostalgic and perfectly executed. • The Salmon: A standout entree with beautiful presentation and fresh, vibrant flavors - I subbed the spätzle for red cabbage and sauerkraut to make more healthy but still authentic! • Drinks & Service: our martinis were fabulous, and the service is consistently attentive and friendly. I also had a glass of fab Riesling wine paired with my salmon ;) If you’re looking for high-quality food and an authentic vibe that honors German tradition, this is the place. (See photos of the Smorgasbord and Salmon!)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great spot for brunch before the Broncos game! Came here with a few buddies before the Broncos game and had an awesome time. The food was delicious — we had pretzels, sausages, and some brunch plates, and everything hit the spot. The beer selection is huge and the vibe was perfect — lively but not too crazy. Service was friendly and quick even though it was busy, and it’s got that fun German beer hall feel that makes it great for groups. Definitely coming back next time we’re downtown before a game! 🍻🏈
