Tarantula Billiards Bar & Grill

This is my favorite pool hall in Denver. They have 15 gold crown tables and have free pool all day everyday except for Friday and Saturday when it's free until 7pm. You do have to buy something to get the free pool or else it’s $10/hr. They have Guinness on draft so that’s not a problem for me. I haven’t had the food yet but they have a small menu if you’re hungry. They have 2 outdoor smoking areas and air hockey, foosball, shuffle board and a couple of arcade games. It’s a really cool, laidback spot. I’ve met a lot of nice people over the past 9 years that I’ve been going here.

Been coming here for a couple of years. Prices went up. Meh. But the security guard CJ smoking a cigarette in my face talking about this my club I do what I want was a lil shitty. I live and work downtown in the hotel district. This will no longer be a recommendation for guest at my hotel. Went in bought my drink. Came out took the photo of him. His boss from another job was asking personal questions where do you work etc. cj then came outside and then says I’m no longer welcome here I’m harassing him and goes on and on about his rights as a contracted employee . I left it alone but the one drink was a waste of money. I will no longer have an interest in this establishment. I will advise against this place. It was unwelcoming and intimidating. I felt harassed especially with the group that gathered during this altercation.

Free pool with drink purchase. Awesome place to play and practice. Tables are quality and plenty. Good beer selection and the bartenders are chill.

13 tables, all older but all in decently good shape. They allow kids up till a certain time. The lady behind the counter was nice. Worth the stop if you like pool. Tables are free as long as you get food or drink.
