The Yard Milkshake Bar in Downtown Denver is super cute inside — very modern, very Instagram-ready. I walked in fully prepared to live my Old School Banana Split fantasy… only to find out they were out of bananas. At a milkshake bar. Selling a banana split. 🤨 So I switched to the Cookies and Worms milkshake. It tasted good, but when it came out, the worms were missing. The whole point of the drink is literally in the name, so I was just sitting there like… where are my worms 😮💨 Oh yeah — my husband ordered a brownie sundae, and he actually enjoyed his, so at least one of us got the full experience. Overall, the vibe is great and the shake was tasty, but missing ingredients twice in one visit definitely took some of the magic out of it.

I know I know, its cold in Colorado so how can anyone want ice cream? Easy answer, make it a milkshake. This was one of the spots I wanted to visit on my trip, and lucky for me, that on my way to Giordanos i saw the sign. How fortunate for me! At the time of my visit (December) they had a selection of Christmas milkshakes. I went with Not my Gumdrop and Mint to be Merry. These were extravagantly done. So much detail and craft behind both drinks, very magical. The mint to be merry was perfectly done, the mint ice cream was delicious. However I will say the only let down was the brownie that came on top, it didnt seem fresh, it was very stale. The gumdrop was very good, id highly recommend this one if you want something sweet. The gingerbread cookie that it comes with was fresh luckily so I was glad about that. It is a bit pricey if u want it in a Jar, each one was around $20+ but u can keep the jar. They have a sink u can clean it at if you eat it in house.

A little on the expensive side but this place is awesome. Definitely worth a try. The Manager is very friendly and helpful. I have only been here 2 times but both times she went out of her way to help me, I wanted to transfer the milkshake from the jar to a to go cup. I like how it is kind of tucked in between 2 stores so if you are not paying attention, you won’t even notice it is there. However, be aware that there is usually some wait time due to how over the top the menu is.

I saw this milkshake bar during our recent trip to downtown Denver. Since I have a sweet tooth and a fan on milkshake, of course I decided to check it out! I tried the February special-Ferrero Rocher Milkshake and it was good. They made it in a glass jar with their logo on it. There’s a big sink at the back where you can wash/clean the jar up and keep it as souvenir.
