Things to Know
The Curtis stands out as a uniquely themed downtown Denver hotel with exceptional staff and excellent restaurant, though quality control issues occasionally undermine the experience. Known for: downtown denver's playfully themed hotel with genuine hospitality.
Staff across front desk, restaurant, and bar are consistently friendly, helpful, and go out of their way to assist guests. Prime downtown location near stadiums, entertainment, shopping, Union Station, and the convention center. Every floor has a different creative theme (like the Horror Floor), making it visually unique and memorable compared to typical chain hotels. The Corner Office restaurant and bar serve excellent food and drinks, with reviewers particularly praising the Reuben sandwich and cocktails. Recently renovated rooms feel fresh, clean, and modern with comfortable beds and good showers with reliable hot water. Affordable pricing for its downtown location and amenities.
Housekeeping quality is inconsistent—some guests reported dirty rooms with trash and stains upon check-in. Elevators are slow during peak times and one may be down for maintenance, potentially leaving you stuck. Maintenance issues like lack of hot water have occurred in some rooms despite recent renovations. Restaurant wait times can be too long for guests on a tight schedule. Desk chair is a fixed bucket-style that doesn't adjust, making it uncomfortable for extended work.
Downtown is a great base for exploring Denver. It's known for its walkable streets, local restaurants, and access to the rest of the city.

Not only was this place affordable for being right downtown but it was one of my top notch service experiences I've had in a long time. Not only the front desk people but restaurant / bartenders were amazingly friendly! Very attentive to any of my needs and I will definitely be coming back soon! Thank you to all the staff you made my stay comfortable and accommodating.

The Curtis is a fun hotel right downtown in what may be a perfect location for out of town guests. It is near the stadiums, entertainment, shopping and Union Station. The staff is fun and friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The hotel is a lot of fun and very visually appealing. If you love video games from the 90's and 2000's you should definitely pay this place a visit. The attached restaurant makes great drinks, good coffee, and really good food. I highly recommend a stay here

The Curtis Hotel is absolutely awesome. The location is perfect, right in the heart of downtown Denver and close to everything you’d want to see or do. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is fun, welcoming, and full of personality. The front desk team is amazing super friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind. Every staff member I interact with makes the place even better and they go out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. One of the coolest parts of the Curtis is that every floor has a different theme, which makes the whole experience unique and memorable. The hotel has also been recently renovated, and it really shows everything feels fresh, clean, modern, and well-designed while still being playful and creative. You have to check out The Corner Office (TCO) restaurant on site. It’s fantastic. Do yourself a favor and try the Reuben, it’s seriously one of the best I’ve had. Great food, great vibe, and a perfect spot whether you’re staying at the hotel or just stopping by. Overall, the Curtis Hotel has an incredible energy, amazing staff, a prime location, and a fun, vibrant atmosphere that makes it stand out from any other hotel. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Denver. Great job!!!

Stayed at the hotel during a recent work conference. Has a resort/circus style theme throughout the hotel. Every floor has a different style. Would not recommend at all. Stayed for 3 days/nights, did not have hot water once. Elevators were crowded due to one being down for maintenance repairs. Tried to use the stairs and got locked out between floors. I had to wait for someone to come open the door for me. Upon initial check in room was not cleaned properly, trash and stains on the bed. This place was most likely booked by my company due to the price. However, my choice would not be to stay at this hotel again. Horrible experience.
Why Stay in Downtown
The 16th Street Mall, Larimer Square, Civic Center Park — downtown Denver is more walkable than most people give it credit for, and the food scene has gotten significantly better.
