The new 16th Street (formerly the 16th Street Mall) is better than ever! After the massive renovations, the transformation is incredible. It feels modern, safe, and much more inviting for a day out. The new digital wayfinding screens (IKE kiosks) are a total game changer. They make it so easy to find nearby shops or restaurants. My favorite feature is the interactive photo booth you can take a quick photo right there and post it to your social media in seconds! There are so many great spots for families. Authentic Eats, The food options are endless! You have everything from high-end dining to small, affordable snack booths. We tried some authentic street food that was both delicious and budget friendly. The 16th Street FreeRide, This is still the best perk. The free shuttle buses are back on their regular route and running frequently. Since there is plenty of parking in the garages around the area, we just parked, hopped on the FreeRide, also good for families when kids got tired of walking. Whether you're a local or just visiting, the new 16th Street is a must visit in Denver. It’s the perfect blend of Colorado's outdoor spirit and modern city life!

We didn’t know what we got ourselves into when we read mall! Welp, we walked the 16th street and realized it was a street/outdoor thing. We had a long day and walked from the Union Station. Lots of places, stores to go into. Pretty concept especially with the perfect weather!

16th Street Mall is Denver's attempt to be something like European pedestrian streets. Every European city and moreover small town have such traffic free streets with plenty of shopping, drinking, dining, entertaining options.....and they're very popular with huge crowds present, although being touristy and more expensive. However, here in Denver is quite opposite. Despite it was a very pleasant sunny afternoon there were very few people around, with about a half being suspicious and not that pleasant to see characters, as well many homeless. In Europe the entire street length would be packed with hundreds of tables outside the establishments hard to find a free one - here were only few and even they were empty. We did not feel unsafe as there's police and security presence, though we did not enjoy it either. Spent some 2-3 hours walking the entire length from the Civic Park to Union station and took the free shuttle bus back. On our way back in late afternoon/early evening it was even more deserted

Denver’s 16th Street Mall is a 1.7-mile pedestrian corridor in downtown, offering shopping, dining, and entertainment. The free shuttle makes getting around easy, and nearby attractions include the Central Library and Paramount Theatre. Renovations have improved the area, though visitors should be mindful of occasional safety concerns.
