We stopped in during a trip to Denver, got the chicken shoyu ramen, bugolgi bimbap bowl, and tempura shrimp. Everything wasn’t bad, but wasn’t good. My ramen was pretty bland (I ended up dumping in the rest of my finances miso soup and dipping sauce from the tempura shrimp to help with flavor) and the chicken was pretty dry. Service was mediocre. Not overly attentive or friendly, but not rude. Can’t say I’d recommend going here but wouldn’t adamantly discourage it. Atmosphere was nice and the music was lovely, very convenient walkable location.

I was walking on 16th Street in Denver and had a little time before my next meeting, so I wanted to grab a quick Asian inspired lunch. I found Menya along the way and decided to give it a try. I ordered the Menya Special Ramen. They serve classic Japanese ramen with a thick, creamy pork broth, bouncy noodles, and nicely marinated char siu. It’s a true taste of Japanese ramen. The food came out very quickly! Within just a few minutes. The atmosphere was cozy yet lively, perfectly matching the vibe of 16th Street. I’d love to come back and sit on the patio next time . That would be an experience. I’d definitely recommend Menya for your next downtown visit, whether you’re out shopping or looking for a satisfying ramen experience between your busy schedule.

I ordered takeout and it was prepared very quickly. The poke bowl was fresh and tasty but I wish they offered more free toppings like some of their competitors in the area. They compensated it somewhat with a bowl of miso soup though.

Food was excellent! Location is good being that it’s right on 16th street and the atmosphere is well done, clean, inviting and thought out. The service was not great. It was moderately busy and the server forgot about us several times and I had to waive her over each time we needed something. She was friendly but it felt like she either had too many tables or that because we were in the corner we were out of sight and neglected. I’d still recommend going here and it could have just been that particular experience.
