Date of Incident: November 14, 2025 Approx. Time: ~11:30 PM Location: The Orchid Nightclub, Denver, CO – right-side entrance ropes (facing from the street) Statement: I arrived at The Orchid around 11:30 PM on November 14, 2025. There was an armed security guard working the right-side entrance area. He was a Mexican male with tattoos on his face, wearing a security uniform and a black hat. He later identified himself as “Alex,” and during the interaction he said, “That’s why they call me Joker.” At first, he refused to give me his name. Before I approached, I observed him allowing several women to enter the club without checking IDs, without charging the cover charge, and without performing any pat-down. When it was my turn, he asked for my ID, told me the cover charge was $20, and said he needed to pat me down. I turned around as instructed. During the pat-down, the guard grabbed my crotch in a way that felt intentional, forceful, and malicious. I immediately jumped away and asked, “What are you doing?” He smiled and said, “That’s why they call me Joker.” Because he was armed with a firearm, I felt threatened and unsafe. I told him I wasn’t comfortable continuing. He stated that if I didn’t let him “finish,” I wasn’t getting into the club. I told him he had already patted me down. He responded, “Then you’re not getting in,” denying me entry. For my safety, I left the area. I later returned to document what happened and take photos of the guard, the location, and the front of the club. When I tried to take pictures, the guard attempted to hide his badge and still refused to identify the security company he worked for. At that time, I approached a tall male staff member who appeared to be part of The Orchid’s management and reported the incident to him directly. I said if you don't give me the name of the security company he works for I'll call the cops, and make a huge scene right here. In which he told me the Security Company name is Silverback Security. The manager is the tall Mexican man in one of the pics This report reflects my account of the incident.

The food was surprisingly delicious. I mean really really tasty. I had the plain Jane Burger and fries. Absolutely delicious

This venue seems more focused on kicking people out than on actually providing a quality experience. The staff enforces unnecessary and over the top rules, even for the smallest things, which makes the environment feel unwelcoming. On top of that, the space itself doesn’t offer much drinks, service, and overall atmosphere are nothing special, especially for the way they act like it’s some high end spot. If you’re going to treat guests harshly, at least back it up with quality. Definitely not worth the hassle.

Absolutely terrible experience — avoid Orchid Denver at all costs If I could give zero stars, I would. Security here is unprofessional, rude, and downright disrespectful. They threw away my belongings without consent and thought it was funny — literally laughed in my face. The staff clearly has no sense of customer service, and management must not care either if this is who they hire. Security at Orchid Denver inappropriately touched and groped my chest during a search — completely crossing personal boundaries and making me feel humiliated and unsafe. There was no explanation, no consent, and no option to refuse. This is not “standard procedure,” it’s sexual harassment. Orchid Denver is the definition of bad vibes — overpriced drinks, power-tripping security, and an atmosphere that feels more hostile than fun. Save your money and your dignity — there are way better clubs in Denver that actually respect their guests. Please do not remove my review again!
