I had a great time visiting the Denver Mint! Just a heads up, you need to reserve tickets ahead of time, which is different from the walk in style of the Philadelphia Mint tour. Once you’re set with tickets, though, the experience is smooth and well organized. The tour itself was really enjoyable and informative. It’s fascinating to see how coins are made and to learn about the history behind the minting process. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Denver!

Took the tour on the final day that the penny was printed. Would have enjoyed seeing the machines in action but it was a 3p tour and coin stamping appeared to be done for the day. Informative tour and a good learning experience.

I really enjoyed the free tour. Tour tickets need to be picked up in advance on the same day. They have multiple tours during the day and if you are lucky you can get the ticket before the tour. The tour includes the history of the mint, the minting of coins and a penny souvenir. Bags of any kind are not allowed, there are no lockers to store your belongings, cell phones need to be turned off and you have to go through security check.
