Incredible pastries, unique coffee drinks, and velvety vibes. Try one of the Pop-Tarts—wow! They’re packed with fresh fruit and tons of flavor. I also loved their take on the Nutter Butter cookies. Caffeinated drink options like Banana Matcha and Tiramisu lattes, yummm. Everything feels really creative and unique, from the pastries to the coffee drinks. The staff has great energy, and the groovy vintage décor makes the place even more fun to hang out in. What’s not to love? I can’t wait to see what their new bar area will be like!

Overall a good coffee and a really good olive and citrus cake. There was a line though, but I think it's mainly because the baristas do spend time chatting and checking on people which I appreciate. There are a few seats, but not a lot. There is a photo booth nearby the bathroom. It's $7 though.

This is a really cute spot! I was a little nervous that they were closed when I arrived, but I realized I was at the second set of doors, still under construction. Velvet Lasso only opened last week, so this is to be expected. The under-construction section is partitioned and not bothersome at all. The service counter layout did confuse me for a minute, as I was waiting to order at the front of the counter when the register/order area is on the right, sided against the back wall. I had seen Velvet Lasso on Instagram before visiting, so I knew I wanted to try their house Lasso Latte (mocha with raspberry and almond?!). When I asked if it contained dairy, the barista responded, "A small amount." I understand that they were giving me context about the amount, but my allergy doesn't care if there's only a little (which, also, is arbitrary). (Also, allergen labels may not be the most aesthetic but they are extremely helpful and it takes a large burden off of employees communicating them.) They offered to do the latte without the mocha, so I went with that. Unfortunately, it wasn't very good. It almost tasted...stale? I don't think any of the other drinks could be non-dairy but I did not ask. I was not able to order any of the pastries. Overall, I was a bit underwhelmed but maybe it's just not the right spot for me!

First time at Velvet Lasso!. I got the shortstack matcha and my husband got the working girl cold brew. Both were SO GOOD. Also bonus-the ice was good, for any fellow ice chewers out there. We split the hungry hungry cowfolk sando with bacon. So tasty! Everyone working was so sweet and kind and really went above and beyond in service! Will be back!
