Our first time to Root Down that was recommended from a friend. It was incredible food and atmosphere experience. The BEST was the staff from the waitress/ waiters, hostesses, and manager. Many came to the table asking what they could do to serve our needs. From appetizers, shareables, main dish, and desserts. Cocktails that was recommended by the staff and bartender. Topped the night with a pour of Pappy’s 10 year. Highly recommended!

We went in for dinner the other night and got 3 things to share: loaded potato gnocchi, devils on horseback and the rockfish tom kha. All the dishes were so good and the flavors blended so well together! Our server split the tom kha into 2 so the picture shown is half the dish. Definitely will be back to try out more things on the menu 😋

This was an excellent choice to kickstart restaurant week! Everything was fantastic, especially our server Janna who is AWESOME. Everything on the menu looks so good it was hard to decide. The sweet potatater tots are delicious. The Sangria is a touch more dry than I'd like and a little on the spicier side as is the Beet Down. The Jicama Collins is good, not too sweet. I had the duck appetizer, the rockfish entree and bread pudding for dessert. Every single aspect of each of these dishes was phenomenal 🤌. (Shout-out to who ever made the executive decision to leave raisins out of the bread pudding) I came excited and hungry, I left happy and FULL. Extremely satisfying experience overall. Thank you! Some insite from a person with disabilities... the weight and curved shape of the flatware was very nice and heightened the experience due to ease of handling. The floors although 'flat', are sloped and did prove a little difficult. We did not access the bathroom for this reason.

The prix fixe menu was an excellent way to bring in the new year. My girl and I enjoyed every course in this three course meal. We decided to include the wine pairing which added to the festivities.
