Service was extremely slow to start and took a good 10+ minutes to even get water. The waiter seemed new and hardly knew the menu, which is fine, but the confusion on his face over and over again was the problem. The low rating really comes in for the food. My husband received his food 5 to 10 minutes before I received my food, and there was no explanation as to where it was. When we received the food, my burrito was a soggy mess as if it had been sitting in the back for a while. His French toast was super basic like we could’ve made it at home and was just OK. The icing on the cake was the scrambled eggs, they were completely burnt. I was shocked that they served scrambled eggs like that when they’re so easy to remake. To say the least, we ate very little and decided we would never come back. We got two tiny mocktails, scrambled eggs, a burrito with no sides, and French toast and it was over $60.

We’ve been meaning to try this place for longer than I’m happy to admit now. What an absolute hidden gem in Sunnyside. Everything we ordered was delicious. The owners (assume they’re the owners but one was definitely the chef as well) came out to talk to us and told us all about their socal roots and inspiration for the plates. The bartender and servers were all the friendliest people as well. Can’t wait to go back

Awesome food, drink and menu selections. It was very busy for Saturday brunch and wait staff was a little overwhelmed but they made up for it with their friendliness. Cute spot that I will definitely visit again.

We have been trying to visit this place for a while, and now I am hooked. First of all, let's start with the service. Maggie was handling SO many tables when we cozied up to the bar, but it was still perfect service. Their bottomless is $23, and that is reasonable. Maggie, thanks. We had to go home and clean, and although our initial cleaning was fun, we then quit on it. Tomorrow sounds good. No sports on the TV, so don't go for that, but when you drink bottomless watching San Diego PB waves at a bar owned by a SD owner, what are the complaints? Wife said the shrimp and grits were the best she has had in years, and I will go to bat and say the crabcake sandwich with egg might have been the best crabcake anything outside of Maryland or Maine. Energy and music were great, and unique. You will go there and probably Shazam some songs. Boom. Bottled hot sauce, and I hope the kitchen reads this and creates some SD hot sauce that blows my mind next time. VERY minor complaints. Can't wait to try the burrito and burger. Definitely recommend and see you there. ADDITIONAL VISIT INFO: We went again for brunch on a weekend (Memorial Day weekend). I remembered that I got the magical crabcake sandwich (especially for a landlocked state), so I wanted to try something else. I still was in a crab mood and got the crabcake Benny. Jessie was running solo, and although we were one of the first three tables in there, she was handling about 8-9 when we left. She still was efficient, and I think they pulled someone from back of house to help. I still felt like every conversation with Jessie didn't indicate she had 1000 other things to do. Fun music in the background, and it made the place very energetic. Fun pink chairs too! The wife got the surf and turf burrito, and it was solid. I think it was a push on that day as to who got the better meal. The homemade chips that her burrito came with were MAGICAL. I stole a bunch of hers. My Benny was awesome, and wherever they are sourcing their crab, it is working. The potatoes that came with it were honestly good on their own, although I always drench mine with Hollandaise and hot sauce. I always LOVE when a place has a house hot sauce, they had it, and it delivered. Great stuff for us hot sauce folks. There was a $15 bottomless special, so the wife got that. Great deal, and it is still a decent deal at its normal price of $24. The drink itself wasn't her favorite, but still great value. My main recommendations would be more staff on each of our visits, and to invest in surround sound, so one table doesn't have the speaker next to them. Also, deliver the iced tea in a bigger glass for less refills. Next on my list here is the allegedly popular Baja burrito, I highly recommend, still a five, and see you there...
