Things to Know
Budget Inn offers an unbeatable downtown location and great views at rock-bottom prices, but the aging facility and inconsistent management mean you're paying for location and proximity, not comfort or reliability.
Budget Inn offers an unbeatable downtown location and great views at rock-bottom prices, but the aging facility and inconsistent management mean you're paying for location and proximity, not comfort or reliability. Known for: downtown location with views, budget-friendly option.
Walking distance to downtown Denver with good city views from the property Staff can be genuinely friendly and welcoming, particularly manager Angelique Unbeatable price point for staying near downtown ($60/night range)
Rooms are outdated, poorly maintained, and may have safety hazards like non-functional electrical outlets in bathrooms Housekeeping is inconsistent—reviewers found dirty rooms, trash in drawers, and broken toilets that required multiple service requests Expect noise at all hours from other guests and issues with billing accuracy (overcharges and difficulty securing refunds) Front desk service can be dismissive and unhelpful despite some positive exceptions
Jefferson Park is a great base for exploring Denver. It's known for its walkable streets, local restaurants, and access to the rest of the city.

Pros: - Prox to downtown - View of downtown - Polite and friendly staff - Price Cons: (where do I start?) - Room quality (lots of things) - Electrocution - The crowd Look. You’re in a pinch. You’re looking to stay near the downtown. If you are fully unable to spend more than $60/night, then this will be fine as long as you know it’s $60/night in a downtown environment. The service was actually great, very polite and pleasant. Also, the views were awesome from the place. It’s not their fault that this facility is looking like a third world country. Also, be prepared to have lots of loud people in and around the rooms at all times of the day. At 2:05 AM, a man was screaming at max volume in the central patio area at someone for approximately an hour using vulgar language. Again, not this place’s fault but be ready. If you’re staying in Room 101B, be prepared to get electrocuted when you touch (or get near) the light switch in the bathroom. Also, this room smelled like cigarettes at all times. It seems like this place was abandoned then bought by someone and threw some small percentages of life savings into this place. It needs some help.

The manager Angelique was a fantastic host stay at this motel! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making check-in quick and easy. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained, with fresh linens and all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. I especially appreciated how quiet and peaceful the property was at night

The location is wonderful. View is great. I've stayed here twice. My first experience wasn't bad compared to my 2nd visit. I received a key to a room someone was already in. Got charged more then my reservation amount that I booked for. The toilets didn't work, had to keep contacting them to come fix. Then when opening drawers, found a bunch of trash. Immediately let the front office know. And the girl advised there was a list of others with dirty rooms to. Not sure what house keeping is doing. I was very disappointed with this stay that I canceled my May 2026 booking with this hotel and will find a different hotel close by. Filed a dispute with hotels.com regarding overcharge. Said they worked with this hotel to get a refund and only be charged with what I had originally been quoted. The hotel refused. I recommend not staying here so close to the holidays as your rates will increase by triple and the rooms may be dirty.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Budget Inn. From the moment I arrived, the manager Angelique was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The location is perfect—just a short walk to downtown and all the major attractions. I can’t recommend this hotel enough—definitely a five-star experience!
