Expansive park with many paths and Denver Zoo. We walked hoping to catch the sunset. Saw a proposal, elephants and many walkers, runners and dogs. Felt safe even as darkness fell.

I drove from Lincoln, NE, to Denver to run the city’s marathon, and it was amazing. This park is so huge and has so much to offer; well taken care of. Every city should have such big open places.

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE this park! It’s huge with lots of shade for hot summer days, dog-friendly and has a lake. Sometimes you can even hear the animals from the zoo! Perfect for both big and small walks, picnics and more. They also host jazz nights and lots of other fun activities —always something to enjoy.

On a recent trip to Denver, we had an opportunity to walk through the Denver City Park. The park is quite large, has very nice walking and running paths, a lake, some different pieces of art work, lots of trees and at one end is (I believe) a natural history museum. Another interesting feature of the park was the 4 acre children's playground. Every imaginable kind of play equipment was there along with some very nice general play areas. Overall this is one of the nicer parks I've visited and offers a great view of downtown Denver. Definitely worth a visit.
