The room was clean. The towels were thick and nice. The bed was super comfy. It was quiet, which is great for a Friday night, and I felt safe. The coffee is great! The only complaint I have is that the carpets throughout the hotel, outside of the rooms, looked like they haven't been vacuumed in months. It was very off putting, especially as a first impression. All in all, this is the second time that I've stayed here, and I would stay here again.

The staff was very friendly & the rooms were clean & very comfortable. We had two conecting rooms at a great price. Absolutely love this hotel. The kids had a blast looking at all the dinosaur artifacts & art. The large sandbox was a huge hit with the littles as they put their paleontologists/excavating skills towards uncovering dinosaur bones. I will definitely be staying here for all my future visits to Denver.

Stayed at this hotel on a trip and I have to say it was very fun. Front desk was quick and professional and the room was very nice. The breakfast here is quite good and they have a good selection of hot sauce for their wonderfully done eggs. They also have it set up for breakfast burritos which is much more effort than most places but into their breakfast. Also the dinosaur decor is a fantastic touch. Is it a little tacky? Maybe. Is it cool and fun? Absolutely! If you have the time I would encourage you to read the plaques on display as many of the pieces are genuine, or on loan. The artwork in the stairwells also helps breath a little more soul into the building. My one point of complaint was the bed which was extremely creeky. This wasn't enough to wake myself or my partner up while asleep, but it did transfer a lot of motion which was jarring while awake.

If you’re like me, when you need a hotel, you search for the cheapest that doesn’t mention bed bugs and you book it. I’m not picky, I just want to sleep and shower and move on. But when one of those options is listed on Atlas Obscura as DENVER’S DINOSAUR HOTEL, you stop searching and book! And it’s wonderful! There are dozens of fossils in the lobby, there are fantastic paintings in the stairway, even the room numbers look like they’re carved from red rock. And then, there’s a dinosaur print pillow on the bed! The owners of this charming Best Western funneled their passion into making this hotel different from all of the others and it shows. I respect and love that and that’s why I’m writing this review. I wish more business owners would make this sort of investment!
