Ok, so I was waiting for the dust to clear on the whole do they or don't they support ICE before posting my review. The answer is NO they do NOT support ICE. In fact, when I was in the store they had a whole section dedicated to immigration and immigrant stories that had a sign above it saying that 25% of the sales were going to the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition. It sounds like they recently got rid of whoever was getting the bad press and have moved on from that person. Speaking to everyone in the shop when I was there, it was clear that the staff is a diverse and somewhat queer staff, making the space feel incredibly inclusive and welcoming. The book selection was good for a small shop, honestly it's an excellent selection for the neighborhood! I loved the atrium area, it had puzzles set up for people to do and a very nice vibe. The coffee and drink selection is nice and the outdoor patio is perfect for enjoying your drink and your new book! The dog on staff, Cooper, is incredibly laid back and so sweet! The staff told me about all sorts of events happening at the bookstore, including game nights and book groups! I can't wait to start attending these events, if it's anything like the St Patrick's Day event then it's sure to be fun! They have a cute book nook for books they've ordered for people to pick up. It's adorable! The kids area is a huge hit with my nephew as well, he loved the giant bear and the selection of books and toys! I think overall the Denver Book Society is an excellent addition to the neighborhood and the community. Photos are of MY dog reading his new finds. 🤓😉😂

Fantastic book store with cute perks. Laid out well, great relevant selection, easy to browse, and several sitting areas to enjoy a coffee, beer or game. I was surprised how great the kids section is! I'll definitely be back to shop and hang out on the patio.
