A beautifully designed downtown Denver hotel with exceptional staff, immaculate rooms, and a standout rain shower that makes guests feel genuinely cared for.
A beautifully designed downtown Denver hotel with exceptional staff, immaculate rooms, and a standout rain shower that makes guests feel genuinely cared for. Known for: downtown location, luxe rain showers, stellar service.
The rain shower heads are a major highlight, with multiple guests mentioning them as a standout feature of the rooms. Staff go above and beyond—reviewers specifically praised front desk employees Emma and Samar for friendly, responsive, and graceful service that turned stays into memorable experiences. The location puts you in the heart of downtown Denver, close to restaurants, shops, and attractions, with easy walking access to everything. Beds are exceptionally comfortable and rooms are immaculately clean with modern, stylish design. The breakfast menu is extensive and impressive, with options worth the cost if you book the rate that includes breakfast.
Valet parking at $59/night is expensive; guests recommend using nearby pay lots or the Athletic Club for $30/day instead. Pillows are too soft and may cause neck discomfort for side sleepers—consider bringing your own firmer pillow. Standard rooms don't include microwaves, only a steamer. Double-check your final bill at checkout, as at least one guest was incorrectly charged another guest's bar tab.
Uptown is a great base for exploring Denver. It's known for its walkable streets, local restaurants, and access to the rest of the city.

We stayed at the Slate for a week. The room was wonderful. It would have been perfect had we had a microwave. We had a steamer instead of an iron which was awesome. Makeup mirror and extra plus. We could have had better selection for the TV. Having laundry services on the premises for the guest was 105%. There was one issue. Upon checking out my bill was charged an extra $150. I was charged someone else's bar tab. This may have been an honest mistake, however had I not paid attention to details I would have been paying $250.42. My actual bill was $100.42. The valet parking is $59 a night or you can walk less than a block and park your car at the Athletic Club for $30 a day. Would I stay at the Slate Hotel again, absolutely.

I had a really great stay at The Slate Hotel Denver Downtown and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Denver. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt smooth and welcoming. The staff at the front desk were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with any questions or requests. Check-in was quick and hassle-free, which is always a big plus when traveling with family. The room itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable. Everything was well maintained, and the bed was especially comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day exploring the city. The room was quiet, which made for a very restful night. Housekeeping did a great job keeping everything fresh and organized throughout our stay. One of the best parts of this hotel is the location. It’s right in downtown Denver, close to restaurants, shops, and popular attractions, making it super convenient to get around without any stress. Whether you’re walking or driving, everything feels nearby. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is stylish yet comfortable, and it feels perfect for both families and vacation travelers. Service, cleanliness, and location all exceeded expectations. This was a very pleasant experience, and I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Denver. Highly recommended!

This hotel is excellent. Not only are the rooms beautifully designed, they are immaculately clean. The shower heads are actually high enough for a tall guy too. I had a slight issue with my room at check in and Samar took care of it immediately and with grace. Hilton, please recognize her for outstanding work. An employee like her really turns a stay into an experience. Very impressed so far, and I don’t expect that to change.

From when we arrived the staff was nice, at check in Emma was friendly and helpful, our room was spotless, the bed was so comfortable and soft, we slept great! They have a rain water shower, the hotel was quiet too. We had breakfast in the restaurant and our server was so nice and the food delicious! It’s located in the center of Denver near all the city sights! We would recommend staying at The Slate!
