Loved this place when it was the Secret Garden. Today was my first time with it now as the Carriage House. I know they just opened but I couldn’t believe how slow the service was. There were 5 people in front of me and I waited 20 minutes to get to the front of the line just to order. Then waited another 5 minutes for my iced latte. There were four people behind the counter so it wasn’t like they were understaffed—there just didn’t seem to be any sense of urgency. When I got my iced latte they were out of disposable lids and straws. Not a fantastic first experience.

The Carriage House is exactly the kind of spot Denver needed. The setting tucked into Cheesman Park is effortlessly cool … just returning from Europe, and it feels a little European, a little hidden gem, and very Denver. The jambon beurre was simple and SO good (my French husband can attest) , the turkey pesto was another standout, and the pastries are absolutely worth ordering for the table. Great coffee, a glass of wine, something delicious to eat and arguably one of the best patios in the city… hard to beat ☕️ The whole place feels thoughtfully done without trying too hard. I already know this is going to become one of those neighborhood spots you find yourself coming back to again and again. Such a great addition to Cheesman…Five stars ✨
