Valverde Park

Surprisingly nice park for being so close to the highways and commerce area. I would attempt to enjoy it now as I believe it is the likely sight of a new female sports arena almost certainly expected to begin construction in the next year or less. Also, as other reviewers have noted, the bathrooms could use some work.

Nice looking park and playing surface. New surface is rubber based and I am sure it is lovely to play baseball on if you are able bodied. However, trying to "run" the bases in a wheelchair or walker is like trudging through quick sand. Really hard work ! The semi permanent toilets were disgusting, not maintained and no paper available. Was there any disabled parking spots with van availability ? If so they were not obvious after driving around in circles. Very disappointed, after being promised an upgrade to our prior playing fields.

Valverde park has been the field of choice for several sports for Denver parks and rec. The field is always well maintained. My only complaints are parking is a bit rough and I wish there was a trash can closer to the fields
