I really loved the sandwiches here! Try to come early because their popular flavors sell out quickly. We got the egg salad and chicken Caesar sandwiches. Both were great! They were unfortunately sold out of the spicy pork & brisket sandwiches, so we’ll have to come back again to try them. I also got a vanilla matcha latte and it was delicious. Not too sweet! Cute new neighborhood spot! Edit: Went a 2nd time and tried the spicy pork sando. Delicious! It was fatty, juicy, and flavorful. My health conscious husband said it was too fatty for him, but it was perfect to me 😂 It was a bit spicier than I expected, with lots of Sichuan peppercorn flavor (tingly/tongue numbing/mala). I think they could’ve used a touch less of that, but I’m also a bit sensitive to that specific spice.

I was able to order and be seated quickly even though it was relatively busy. My food was brought out quickly as well, and the staff was friendly. The egg salad was just okay. It does not have much flavor once you finish the sauce on top.

Wanted to try their Japanese style sandwiches. We ate an egg salad and spicy pork sandwich. Both were so delicious.

Mostly style, some substance. There are good ideas on the menu and visually everything looks good, but execution wasn't quite there, especially for the prices ($8/drink, $13-15/sandwich). Had high hopes for Eloise and ended up somewhat disappointed. We went during peak hours and waited about 45min total (between waiting in line to order and waiting for the food after ordering). It's very popular and only has a small kitchen, so I can understand the long wait time - however, after seeing the line out the door and waiting for this long, expectations were also heightened. We had a white chocolate cherry matcha latte, an egg salad sandwich, and a French dip sandwich. Matcha latte: 7/10 The matcha was listed on the menu as white chocolate raspberry, but when ordering the staff said there was only cherry available. Overall, it was decent. Matcha flavor could have been stronger and the serving size is quite small for the price. Egg salad sando: 5/10 This should have included chives per the menu, but there were no chives at all - not even as a garnish. The soy marinated egg was front and center (as was a soy paste drizzle), which was good presentation-wise, but the rest of the egg salad sandwich had no trace of soy flavor, making the sandwich a bit bland. Was expecting the egg salad to be made entirely with the soy marinated egg, which would have been great, but it certainly didn't look or taste that way. French dip sando: 6/10 This sandwich is made with brisket, which is a great idea, and overall the sandwich tasted fairly good. However, the brisket (as other people have mentioned) is very fatty and is served in the sandwich with an inconsistent cut: some pieces are cut thinner and shorter, and other pieces are cut thicker and longer. This makes for difficult eating, since biting into a large thick piece often makes it come out of the sandwich all at once. Might be nice to have the brisket chopped or otherwise evened out texture-wise. The herbed butter tastes nice but ultimately makes the sandwich very heavy as it's just beef and butter unless you pay an extra 50¢ for the horseradish. I feel like it would be more balanced if it came with the horseradish instead of the herbed butter. The broth that comes on the side is not really a typical jus - it's more of a yellowish broth that tastes mostly like fat drippings from the brisket with little to no other flavors in it. As a small logistical point, the sandwich is also difficult to dip in the broth because the structure of the sandwich makes it easy for meat to fall out as you go to dip it. The seating situation is also a bit odd. In order to prevent people from prematurely occupying indoor seats/tables before they have ordered, all of the tables have "reserved" signs on them. Then, if you make a dine-in order at the counter, the staff will seat you at a table IF there are any available at the time of your order. Makes sense, since seating is very limited. However, this makes it so that you can't get a seat inside unless there are open seats at the exact time you happen to order. Otherwise, you will be forced to either take your order to go or eat at one of the unreserved outdoor tables - we did the latter, since there were no open indoor seats when we ordered. However, a party that ordered after us was seated inside because a table happened to become available right as they were ordering. Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of if you are looking to sit inside.
