Charlie Brown's Bar & Grill

This is such an amazing place. We have come here a few times, but tonight it was worthy of a great review. The staff greeted us immediately upon entering the building. We got to our table and the server came immediately to get our drink order and then retrieved them just a few minutes later. We were ready to order for happy hour and picked a few different items. The food came out hot and fresh within 10 minutes. This was exactly what we hoped for as we came with a healthy appetite. Thanks so much for great hospitality and wonderful staff who truly care about their customers. The outside patio was very clean and they had terrific heaters too, this will be even better come winter time. We will spread the word about this place, and be sure to return once again in the near future.

Came in just to grab a drink while I waited for my food and somehow that turned into a full-blown problem. Bartender was rude from the start, cut me off mid-order, and talked to me like I was bothering her. I could hear her being polite and joking with other customers, but with me she snapped my card down on the bar and kept an attitude. Then she told me I had an “attitude” and said she would love it if I just left. She tried to rush me through the receipt screen and I said I hadn’t signed yet. Her response was, “Well hurry up.” I asked for a manager. When he came over, he immediately acted like I had done something wrong. I told him it didn’t sound like he actually wanted to help, and he said he was “trying.” I explained that she had been rude from the second I walked in, that I was simply picking up an order and buying more while I waited, and that she snapped my card down and rushed me for no reason. No accountability. No apology. To make it worse, another customer inserted himself into the situation, made comments, and escalated things instead of minding his own business. The entire environment became hostile and uncomfortable. What stood out most is that I was treated noticeably differently than other customers around me. The tone, hostility, and assumptions felt rooted in bias. Whether it’s based on appearance, gender expression, or sexuality, it came across as discriminatory, bigoted, and unacceptable. No crowd. No rush. No excuse. I don’t mind following rules. I don’t mind waiting. I do mind being disrespected and singled out. Plenty of better bars in Denver. I won’t be back. Yummy.

The atmosphere is friendly and the service is impeccable. The menu is outstanding with choices for just about everyone. Top all of this with the happy hour and you could not ask for a better place for freinds and family. This has become my place of choice to entertain friends and family. I will even be hosting some of my sales meetings here. Charlie Browns has become my new hang out for any occasion. Actually I do not need an occasion to hang out here I just go because it is a great place and the people food and atmosphere make it a great ace to hang out. Great staff, came here on my birthday. Definitely wanna see what the piano is about... Coming later tonight. Update: night staff was the worst! Refused to serve me and told me that's why I was alone drinking on my birthday and insulted me because I was shy ordering
