I love bass music and was in town for a work conference. There is so many venues and EDM events happening in Denver all the time I wasn't sure where to go. I ended up going to black box and it was a great time. The place: Cool little venue--- or is it? It actually has 2 rooms, a pool table room and a large outdoor patio. The scene: Less ravey- more underground aesthetic. The sound: 1 room was insanely loud 😳 loved it. You could truly feel the music from your feet upwards. Great setup. It was true old school dub sound and a little experimental bass. The second room is like a lounge area which was cool, they had a merch secrion. an artists alley. Farther down A WEED VENDING MACHINE. A pool table The music in here was popping but the sound was significantly less than the other room. You could tell people were trying to jam but the sound was too low all night. Great place.will come here for Halloween 🎃

Could write a thesis on why I love the box! Staff always kind, professional and approachable. The venue brings in plenty of large, and more importantly smaller name artists. The Box is all around still significantly on of the more affordable venues in the city, on both a ticket cost scale, and drink cost scale as well. They also have one of the best speaker systems in their venue year - round. As a transplant to the state, the black box has been a focal point in being a space to not only meet others with similar music taste to myself, but a place where I can expand that taste in music 💛

First time at the venue but we had a great time. It's a smaller space but they really make the most of what they have. Great sound system, top quality staff and what looks to be a great season. We will be back soon.
