Mora makes exceptional vegan pizza when orders are prepared correctly, but inconsistency in the kitchen and slow service are significant issues that frustrate repeat customers.

Okay pizza, tasty cheese and garlic knots. The cheese knots were heavenly with a super soft dough and great vegan cheese. The garlic ones are good too, but the cheese ones are better. We had a slice of Buffalo chicken, Chicken parmesan, Peperoni, and Hawaii. Unfortunately, the peperoni was finished so they substituted with Hawaii and added a nice note. The pizza’s were fine, a bit dry and the Chicken Parmesan did not match the pictures with very dry pieces of vegan chicken. The Hawaii ended up being our favorite as the vegan ham was delicious and the moisture from the pineapple helped the somewhat dry crust. The pineapple slices were quite chunky though. The pizza arrived cold, although I am not sure if that was because of the delivery or the place itself. We will probably try another few slices out of curiosity and definitely order the cheese knots again.

Delicious pizza and garlic knots!! We got the chicken parm pizza and it was so good! All the ingredients were fresh and cooked perfectly. The cheesy garlic knots were buttery and hot. Just perfect. So happy to have an all vegan pizza place in Denver. We also loved standing in the restaurant and reading all the stickers on the door and walls while we waited for our order.

I feel sad leaving this review, but unfortunately our experiences with Mora have not been consistent, and last night’s was pretty disappointing. We placed a carry out order in-person, with one full order ahead of us, and our order was made incorrectly. With the Mora (vegan) menu in hand, I ordered a vegan pepperoni pizza and vegan garlic knots, but a regular dairy-and-meat pizza was made for us. Not sure how, the woman I placed my order face-to-face with didn’t write it down correctly on my ticket. The man making the pizzas was super apologetic, and it was of course not his fault; he did make us a new vegan pizza when we came back. More than the snafu with the first pizza, we waited around 1hr and 15min for both orders. That has been our overall experience with Mora: they are very, very slow, whether it’s with pickup orders or delivery. Now, we’ve been able to get over the slow wait times in the past because Mora has (had) AMAZING vegan pizza. I’ve waited over an hour and a half for pick-up and delivery orders multiple times, and it was worth it for the delicious meal. But the pizza and knots we got last night were not remotely the same. It seemed like sticky Daiya cheese and Field Roast pepperonis, not at all like the past pizzas we’ve had that have been so convincing of “the real thing.” The knots were just unseasoned balls of pizza dough sitting in greasy liquified butter. You can see the difference in the photos attached, one from their IG and the other of our pizza. I hope Mora sorts out their inconsistencies. I see the same sentiments repeated in other low-star reviews. They are capable of making amazing vegan food Denver so sorely needs, but the hit-or-miss experience makes us not want to try again.

Pizza is good, when it actually gets made right, which seems about never. There is absolutely no consistency with the kitchen getting the order right, or even the ingredients. It also takes FOREVER to get delivered. We wanted to give the restaurant and the owner, Mora, the benefit of a doubt. We ordered 7 slices of pizza the first time, when it was delivered only 4 slices came. I called and talked to Mora who delivered the other slices personally, which was stellar customer service. Second and third time we ordered they didn’t make the pizza correctly. We ordered a spicy sausage slice and it was delivered as a slice of cheese pizza with buffalo sauce on it. The next time we ordered the speciality sausage, which is just supposed to be sausage crumbles and some banana peppers, it was a slice of cheese pizza, no sausage, with an entire jar of peppers on top (not just banana peppers, but also jalapenos and roasted red peppers). It was completely inedible and looked like it was a slice of pizza made by a faulty AI algorithm (i mean, just look at the photo). The buffalo chicken slice we got also looked and tasted nothing like the first 2 times we got that option, the chicken was completely different and it was DRENCHED in ranch sauce. Safe to say, the kitchen is completely inept and seemingly unable to read a simple food ticket. When I sent the latest picture of my speciality sausage slice to Mora, he said it looked correct besides the fact that sausage wasn’t on it and he didn’t understand why the kitchen kept messing up because “they have the ingredient list right in front of them”. He seems unable to actually run a functioning restaurant, and has no quality control of what goes out the door. We love supporting vegan establishments but after being burned ALL THREE times we ordered from here, we will no longer be supporting this establishment.
