No wait for a Sunday evening! About 4 tables were in use. Tasty and spicy enchiladas mole plate was filling. Food came out quickly and piping hot.

It was a bit quiet for a Mexican coastal seafood restaurant, but the staff was friendly and attentive. The dining table was large but a bit simple. The food, however, was amazing—great selection of Mexican sauces. Just be aware that some dishes can be quite spicy. I definitely recommend this place.

Had a wonderful meal at Mariscos el Charco yesterday. The front of the house manager greeted me and let me choose my table and promptly brought out chips, salsa and the menu so I could begin my dining experience. Bye the way the chips and salsa were excellent, flavorful and just enough spice. I chose a mixed aguachile with shrimp and octopus and chiltepin and serrano peppers. The aguachile was very tasty and had plenty of shrimp and octopus served with the usual cucumber and red onion slices. The manager also provided additional chiltepin sauce and the actual chiltepin peppers to add to my aguachile as I liked. The chiltepin sauce was so good that I asked her if she could tell me where I could buy it locally, here in Denver. She informed me I wouldn't be able to find it here and that they received periodic deliveries of it from Mexico. She then proceeded to give me a bottle, on the house, which was very kind and generous of her. After finishing my aguachile I had some bacon wrapped fried shrimp, which was a life changing experience. The shrimp and bacon were crispy, not greasy, just the perfect bite. It was reminiscent of eating at a Japanese tempura restaurant with their light airy fried shrimp. The restaurant in general was well organized, impeccably clean, with an inviting atmosphere. There is also plenty of free parking out front. I look forward to going back and trying their other seafood offerings. For those that are not seafood eaters, there are plenty of beef, pork and chicken dishes on the menu as well. All in all, it was great experience. Provecho!
