Check in was quick and easy, employees were helpful and very polite and professional. Breakfast was really good, I especially loved the potatoes. The rooms were exceptionally clean, stocked, and had a microwave! Daily housekeeping, and the ac worked wonderfully. My only complaint is the location, though of course the hotel can't help that. It's just in a slightly awkward spot where you have to u-turn to get there, but it's not bad. The little shop they have in the lobby is stocked with ramen, microwaved meals, juice, soda, and even laundry items, so you don't even have to leave the hotel. Would stay again if I ever return, wonderful hotel for a reasonable price.

After a particularly frustrating experience with billing/up-charging at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham, Tulsa Midtown location, I have to write a positive review for the Denver Aurora Holiday Inn Express. I’ll start with the highly capable and professional swing shift desk clerk, Elsa, who provided us with a favorable rate and a list of options for a late Cinco de Mayo dinner after we’d suffered a particularly perilous, long and arduous travel day as a severe winter storm swept through the Rockies. The room was well laid out and appointed with a very comfortable king bed and clean crisp bed linens. The 4 star room rating was due to the hand basin which had a loose handle and only provided cold water. Sadly the in-room fridge wasn’t cold despite being plugged in and on the highest setting. I advised the day shift clerk so it could be repaired or replaced for the next guest in Room 209. The night shift desk clerk, (sorry I didn’t get your name), who was also very capable and professional immediately dispatched the facilities engineer who despite the late hour arrived promptly with the correct tool and expertly re-attached the handle and checked for full function before politely and apologetically leaving as quickly as he had arrived. This location is professionally run and immaculate. Very attentive staff, a model for how hotels should be maintained, managed and run. The breakfast area has an abundance of choices and is open until a more civilized 930am on weekdays. I believe later on weekends.

The reviews were mixed, so we weren't sure what we were walking into, but we had a GREAT stay here. The location was convenient, especially if you needed to be near a hospital. There are good restaurant & coffee options nearby. Rooms are well appointed. Would absolutely stay here again! The only downside is that Colfax is divided, so leaving the hotel is a right turn only.

This hotel, although it is located in a bad part of town, is very clean and the staff are very nice. Room was nice and bed was comfortable. Close to University of Colorado Hospital which is why I was in town. Not happy with having to pay for parking on lot. Other than that it was a nice stay. I would stay there again.
