Spark by Hilton Lakewood Denver Southwest

I had a great experience at the Spark hotel thanks to Travis at the front desk. He was extremely polite, friendly, and professional from the moment I arrived. Travis greeted me with a warm smile, and was very helpful with any questions I had. His positive attitude and genuine kindness made a great first impression and really stood out. Excellent customer service like this makes a big difference—thank you, Travis, for the outstanding hospitality.

I had a wonderfully restful weekend at this place, which was exactly what I needed. Nothing too fancy, just clean, comfy, and quiet (and affordable!). Everything worked perfectly and although the breakfast didn't have many hot options, I still enjoyed the bagels and the yogurt bowls. Special thanks to Travis for helping me get my car started after check-out!

Budget and basic. The lighting in the lobby is brutally harsh and the lighting in the bedrooms is adequate, but man could the rooms use a dimmer feature. The shower/bathroom was cramped, old, and creaky, but otherwise adequate. The big issue here is that there was no room housekeeping even after two nights, and obvious messes were left in common areas (the hallway had spilled soup noodles in it for two days). I don't think I saw a housekeeper the entire time I stayed at the property. The phone in my room was also completely nonfunctional, and the staff told me that was a common issue while I was there. I'm sure the fire marshal would not be happy about that. It was fine, but I wouldn't come back.

As usual this basic, budget-friendly Spark by Hilton offered comfortable beds, an adequate room with fridge and microwave and a complimentary breakfast. The staff is friendly and Matt was very helpful, quick to respond to a maintenance issue with the thermostat. The location was perfect for a quick morning return to the Interstate, but Denver traffic on Thanksgiving Eve was crazy. Really it was Matt’s TLC that made the stay enjoyable.
