My friend and I were just using library passes so we didn’t pay for a tour, but it might have helped us understand Still’s life and work better. The artwork was large and stimulating. There’s a small gift shop area in the front. Wish it had some magnets/stickers with the name of the museum on them. There are some quirky magnets and stickers but I’d love some more basic ones with the museum’s name. Street parking could be found.

This museum is fantastic! Such knowledgeable guides and a wealth of information and experience about Clifford Still; a father of abstract expressionism. They house over 95% of his lifetime of work and regularly change exhibits so that you can always go back to see more of his paintings. Such a wonderful experience. To eat, you must go outside even if you’ve packed your own food. No water allowed inside exhibit halls unless carefully stowed away (and not removed). You can’t get a sense of the enormity of what he did from photos alone. You must visit in person. The architecture was also a lovely experience. Make sure you get the brochure about that too. Enjoy!

Clifford work as displayed in his museum sold me on the value of abstract art. It is incredible to see his progression as an artist over time. The scale of his work is larger than most and gives an incredibly powerful impression. This exhibit on display when I went was curated by children, which only added to the experience. There is a hands on art section. My 10 year old was able to do her own art there while I walked the exhibit. The staff are incredibly kind and thoughtful. A must visit for any art enthusiast.

This is one of my favorite spaces on the planet. The art is stunning and thought provoking. To have 93% of Still’s work in one place allows the viewer to begin to understand his modern Impressionism. It’s a wonderful experience every time I go.
