Hey there! I’ve found a fantastic public park in Lakewood, right between Wadsworth and Kipling. It’s got a lovely 1.2-mile paved trail around the lake, perfect for enjoying the outdoors all year round. The views are stunning, and it’s usually not too crowded, making it a great spot for a peaceful stroll. Plus, it has a parking lot, playground, and bathrooms, so you can make a whole day of it. If you’re looking for a nice place to take a walk in Lakewood, this is definitely the place to be!

Kendrick Lake Park is one of my mom’s and my favorite small parks. The mountain views to the west are stunning, and the lake makes it even more beautiful. It’s the perfect size for a walk or jog, you can go around a few times depending on how long you want to stay. I’ve been running here weekly lately, and with the fall colors, it’s been gorgeous. Peaceful, family-friendly, and full of dogs, such a lovely little gem! 🌿🏞️

This is a really nice park, with a big playground, numerous fishing spots, & LOTS of benches along the paved path that goes all the way around the lake. I would have loved to have given it 5 stars, but just couldn't, because as nice as much of the park is, the restrooms are.... not. From the seatless toilets, to the complete lack of toilet paper, to the stall doors that don't latch, to the "sink" that's just a tiny drinking fountain with an EXTREMELY hard to push cold water 'button', these bathrooms are completely inaccessible for any disabled person, & unusable for even able bodied people. The only other accessibility 'heads ups' I have is that the paved path has dips, especially towards the water, & while it may look even, it isn't always. Just something to be aware of if you have balance issues/disabilities.
