Beloved all ages DIY venue. Suggested donations almost always. Intimate and at time raucaous shows. Compost Heap is my absolute favorite music festival ever. Held together with band stickers and volunteer hours.

My wife and I had the joy of catching THOT SQUAD here a few months back and it was an absolutely incredible show. Venue staff was wonderful and parking was easy to find.

A good place to see bands as they're starting out, or, more underground bands. It's volunteer run & modeled off the "924 Gilman" in Berkeley CA. It should be noted, the venue is currently Alcohol Free. You are free to bring non-alcoholic beverages in plastic or cans, but NO GLASS, as mosh pits & glass are a bad combo. I figure somebody got to see bands like AFI & Green Day (both of which played their first few shows at places like 924 Gilman,) when they were JUST starting out & the audience was right up at the stage. Why deny yourself the chance to discover something amazing early?
