I really wanted to love Encanto. RiNo is full of fun spots, and from the outside this one looks like it’s going to be a great night out. The vibe is definitely more bar-party than traditional Mexican restaurant. Loud music, high energy, lots of people there to drink and socialize. If you’re looking for a place to pregame or have a lively night out with friends, this fits that bill. Unfortunately, the service really missed the mark. Our server barely checked in, drinks sat empty for a while, and it felt like we were more of an afterthought than actual guests. In a high-energy space, attentive service matters even more and that just wasn’t the experience we had. I also ordered the chile relleno, and it was disappointing. It didn’t taste authentic, and for the price, I expected something that felt closer to traditional Mexican flavors. Instead, it came across more like a trendy bar version of the dish and not in a good way. For what you’re paying, the food should be the highlight, not the letdown. Overall, this feels more like a party spot that happens to serve food rather than a restaurant focused on quality Mexican cuisine. Great if you’re going for drinks and a loud night out. Not the place if you’re craving authentic Mexican food or attentive service.

A Mexican restaurant nestled in LoDo blocks away from Coors Fields, it’s going to be trash, right? No way Jose! Encanto brought the flavor and the heat! Any time a Mexican spot brings out complementary chips and salsa, they instantly get points in my reviews. But when the red salsa is actually spicy, the pork green chili you could eat with a spoon and the margarita is a perfect balance of tequila and sweet mix, now we are talking. The chili rellenos were such a unique take and highly recommended. How about $10 happy hour big burrito with steak? What a deal and I left so incredibly full. Enchiladas were also delicious and smothered in red and green. Need I say more?

We visited Encanto for the first time today and I was a bit skeptical at first, because in my experience places that care a lot about aesthetics and decor don’t tend to have the best food, well this was the exception. Everything we tried was great! We especially liked the Sopecitos appetizers, the Encanto main dish with arrachera and the Churros for dessert. Tania was our server and she really took care of us all night. We’ll definitely be back
