If you’re in Denver and looking for a great local burger spot, My Brother’s Bar absolutely lives up to the reputation. I was searching for a classic local burger place and both ChatGPT and Google Maps pointed me here and it did not disappoint. This place has been around for over 150 years, which already says a lot. The atmosphere feels authentic and historic, with that old-school bar character you don’t see often anymore. You can tell it’s a place locals have loved for generations. The burgers were excellent simple, juicy, and done right. No unnecessary gimmicks, just high-quality ingredients and great flavor. The onion rings and sides were also spot on. What really stood out was the service. Friendly staff, quick service, and a relaxed environment that makes the whole experience enjoyable. Overall, it was a great Denver experience historic spot, great burgers, and a welcoming vibe. Definitely worth visiting if you want to try one of the city’s classic burger institutions. Miguel was a great host

Holy HELL in a hand basket! What a cheese burger. Tucked away and disguised as a little dive bar, this Denver gem delivers a quiet atmosphere (pending when you go of course) with a cheeseburger that will knock your socks off. The buns were toasted, the meat was juicy and the burgers came with a tackle box of toppings and condiments so you can dress it how you like it! WHO!? My BROTHER of course! My brother’s bar! Will be going back in the near future! I will say, those chairs in the front dining room (not at the actual bar) are beyond uncomfortable. That ain’t going to stop me from coming back. Through hell or high water I’m getting that cheeseburger again.

First CO eatery i’ve been to, and BOY was this amazing. Not sure if it was because we were starving from the flight, but wow. The hostess was really sweet and all the workers seem to love their job. The bar was dark so be prepared for that, but for being the oldest in Denver, it has a vintage feel that felt like we were living in history. We got a cheeseburger, fries, and a hot dog w onion. They bring out a bunch of sides in a container (relish/onion/ketchup/mustard etc) you can add on which is so convenient as an onion lover so I could choose the amount. We split half and half and I loved both. I will say the bathrooms smell of sulfur, like a hot spring, but, it’s a bar.. and it’s old so. Would 100% be back.

Had a short half day in Denver, heard this was the place to go for a locals-only dive experience, and did not disappoint. Drinks were very reasonably priced, great beer selection, food smelled amazing, and the vibes were immaculate. The real cherry on top though: I stopped by in the middle of the Broncos/Bills playoff Jan 2026. The bartender invited me and others to watch the game on a staff member’s phone. Made friends, learned their names, felt like a true local for a minute, and that’s what a dive bar’s all about.
