This is a nice area for exploring nature in the city. There are dead trees that are safe for climbing. Infact the whole area is for climbing and getting that built up engery out. Lots of room for running as well. Know this before you go and these are just what I saw when I was there today. I didn't see any public restrooms or Johnny on the spots there. There are no picnic tables. There are not slides or playgrounds for small children. If you take the bike path there you will have a detour as the bike path it under construction. Also the street next to this park is called Jason Street and it looks well not the best place. There is about 5 campers parked next to the park and they look rugged. There is a good amount of trash around them. I believe one has been in a fire. Just be careful and safe if you are going here and plan ahead.

We had a ton of fun at this nature park. For us, the rocks and then area by the water were the most fun

Based on the reviews and pictures, this park looked promising. However, we were very disappointed. There are no picnic tables for lunch, but even if there were, I don’t know anyone who wants to eat with a view of beat up, disgusting camper trailers. Totally ruined the experience. These things must go.

A nice green space with a playground but the construction near by (as of late 2022) makes it less enjoyable. The park is by the South Platte River trail so I appreciate the porta potty!
