After grabbing coffee nearby, we took a short walk to this cute, tree-inspired playground right off the bike path by the South Platte River. It’s small but really charming, with a fun slide, a few picnic tables, and a wagon kids can climb on. No swings, but still a great little spot for a quick play break or some outdoor time.

One of our favorite places in all of Denver! This park has it all – table public house next-door for drinks and food, the river just below For looking for seashells and playing in the water, and a great little park for climbing and playing hide and seek. It’s a hit with all three of my kids.

The park is a long strip of green spaces along South Platte River. There is a small playground and picnic area on the east side, where the trail also passes. This is one of the bigger, better maintained parks along the trail and there is even a cafe nearby so it's a good stop for the trail users.

This quiet park that borders the South Platte River has an expansive lawn on the southern half and a nature themed playground built around 2017. Walking trails around a low flow secondary river channel is a great place for a dog to splash in the water, let kids find tiny seashells, watch the occasional gold panner under the pedestrian bridge (the original gold spot in Denver), or witness the thousands of Canadian geese who migrate here in the winter. The South Platte River Trail passes right through the park connecting Chatfield Reservoir to Confluence Park to Henderson with almost no road crossings. The parking lot is at the doorstep of the amazing Table Public House.
